  The new policies on prescriptions are absolutely ridiculous and frankly, dangerous. Since when do grocery stores have input on medical care? It’s bad enough that insurance companies have the influence they have, now we have to jump through hoops for HEB just to get meds we were prescribed by a professional?

  Avoid the H-E-B Pharmacy at I-10 and Fry Rd if you can. In 16 years of dealing with pharmacies across the United States, this is easily the worst pharmacy experience I have ever had. I have used other H-E-B pharmacies without problems, so this is not about H-E-B Pharmacy as a whole. It is this location. The carelessness, confusion, and complete lack of accountability are unbelievable. Last year, they charged approximately $2,000 to my health grant account for a prescription that should have had a $0 copay. By the time I caught the mistake, they refused to correct it. Now it has happened again in a different way. My doctor electronically sent them a prescription on August 5. This is a controlled-substance prescription that must be newly prescribed each month. They know this. The same doctor has prescribed this same medication since 2023, and this very H-E-B location has filled it multiple times. I called the pharmacy on August 5 at around 10:00 AM and spoke with a pharmacist, who told me they could not fill it until August 15 and that I simply needed to wait. Fine. I waited. August 15 came and went. By August 20, I still had received no notification whatsoever. I finally called them myself, only to be told, for the first time, that they now needed to contact my doctor and ask when my last appointment was. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! 😡😤 They received the prescription electronically through their own system, directly from the same doctor who has prescribed this medication repeatedly since 2023. Yet after telling me on August 5 that I simply needed to wait until August 15, they suddenly decided, 15 days later, to question the prescription and create another obstacle. Why was this never mentioned when I called on August 5? Why did the pharmacist specifically tell me to wait until August 15 if there was another requirement holding up the prescription? Why did nobody contact me during those 15 days? And every time something goes wrong, the response is basically, "I don't know who you spoke with last time." How convenient. I transferred my prescriptions here from Randall's only because this H-E-B is closer to home and I thought it would be more convenient to pick them up while shopping. Randall's Pharmacy had been flawless. Moving everything here was a huge mistake. I am transferring all of my prescriptions out of this pharmacy. Careless. Oblivious. Unaccountable. Absolutely embarrassing for H-E-B.

  I have an injury from vaccine administration. No recourse. Exempt from compensation. Exempt from federal fund. I need to file a complaint. Hours are horrible. Should match store hours. I leave prescription in shopping cart someone turns it in to pharmacy which promptly closes at 8pm and no one can retrieve.

  This pharmacy has been the absolute best for my personal issues. The pharmacists both of the ones I’ve spoke with were absolutely amazing and helped me the best way they could and it seems we’re not just someone picking up meds. It’s more than that. I’m always met with a smile and great positive attitudes. I’m glad I switched! Love all of these people! Thanks guys.
