Decided to go with Warby Parker based on all the 5 start reviews and having such a busy schedule I thought this would be a nice 1-stop shop. Get my eye exam, order my glasses, they get delivered to my front door! Perfect! While the sale associate was very friendly, their styles are great and very affordable, I was very disappointed in the eye exam. I explained what my strength was, she performed the exam, gave me a trial pair of contacts a weaker strength than my actual strength. I thought well she is the professional so we will see. I walked out with these new contacts in, ordered my frames and lenses thinking everything was going to be great! I got in my car and as I was looking at things like radio, dash and phone I noticed the letters were blurry and started to hurt my head! I called WP and talked with an operator explaining my experience and had to schedule a follow up appointment. I took the contacts out and put my old ones back in. Went to my follow up appointment and tried to explain my concerns to the doctor and she proceeded by telling me since I was getting older I may need bifocals.. that she wasn’t sure the strength of my contacts because we didn’t have a definite script from my previous doctor. I told her I didn’t think I needed bifocals considering my old contacts were just fine and I had had them for the last two years. We were just not on the same page. I walked out dissapointed, now disappointed at the arrival of my new glasses this week because I know they won’t work for me. I will have to return them and hopefully get a full refund. I will have to pay for another eye exam and won’t be able to use my insurance to pay for it because I waisted it on Warby Parker! So while they have great frames at great prices, I would suggest really looking at reviews for the optometrist themselves and their experience in the field.
