  I would not recommend Northstar Imaging. I was told multiple times — by both the front office staff and the technician — that MRI results would be available within 48 hours. It has now been 5 days with no results. When I called to speak with a practice administrator, I was told some of their radiologists were on vacation. That explanation is hard to accept in 2026, when radiologists routinely read scans remotely. If staffing shortages were anticipated, there should have been adequate coverage in place. What’s most frustrating is the lack of accurate communication and follow-through, especially considering the cost of the scan ($1,140) and the fact that patients are often in pain and waiting on results to move forward with treatment. Delayed results are one thing — but setting unrealistic expectations and failing to communicate proactively is another. I would strongly suggest considering other imaging providers, such as Touchstone.

  Charge $40 at time of scan. EOB comes back much lower. Go to office. We can't refund. Call some number. After being placed on hold, told will be refunded in 3-5 business days. No refund. Call back a week later. Rinse and repeat. On hold, wait 3-5 business days. One week later and nothing.

  I got a hard vibe that the employees hated their job and didn’t want to be there, they were barely putting the steps forward to do their job. They never sent the results to my doctors office, but they made sure we were charged along with our insurance.
