I contacted the store expecting them to exchange the defective item, but they refused and instead told me to contact the manufacturer myself. This makes me wonder: what is the point of buying from a local store if, when you receive a defective product, you are expected to spend your own time dealing with the manufacturer? I believe the store should assist its customers in situations like this rather than simply sending them to the manufacturer. I am very disappointed with the purchase and with the way this situation was handled.
