The insurance repair process is not what I expected. The store manager informed me that once the lenses arrive at the store, it will still take an additional two days to complete the replacement. Leaving me without glasses two days . I was under the impression the turnaround would be faster, so this has been a bit disappointing.

Keylonia @ LensCrafters 6047 Fairview provided me with great customer service. My glasses broke, she was knowledgeable and very helpful with the process of receiving a new pair of glasses.

I had a frustrating experience at LensCrafters recently. I came in to pick out a new pair of glasses, provided my insurance and updated prescription, and spent time trying on several frames until I found one I really liked. My wife was right outside in the car with our 3-week-old newborn, so she couldn’t come inside. Since she’s the one who will be seeing me in these glasses daily, I just wanted to step outside briefly to get her opinion before making the purchase. To make the staff feel comfortable, I even offered to leave my entire wallet with them—driver’s license, debit card, and credit cards—so there would be zero concern about me walking off with the frames. Despite that, both the staff and the manager refused and didn’t try to offer any alternative solution. What made this more disappointing is that I’ve had a completely different experience at another LensCrafters location, where this wasn’t an issue at all. The inconsistency in customer service is frustrating. This experience left a bad impression on me, and I will not be returning to this particular location.

This store disappointed my expectations. First off I'm VSP so I understand my benefits are out of network however she gave me the phone number and told me I needed to call rather then offering to call for me to find out my benefits. If she really wanted my business she would’ve called and found that out for me. My sister and I were ready to purchase day of. I went to visionworks instead.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
