Horrible experience. We waited 20 minutes just to be acknowledged at the register. Patricia came to the counter and didn’t say anything at first — I had to say “hi” before she responded. I then had to initiate the conversation by saying, “I’m here to pick up my glasses.” She replied, “I’m helping a customer, so you’ll have to wait.” I understood and waited patiently. After she finished helping that customer, she was about to assist someone else instead of us. My husband noticed the discrimination and had to step in and say, “Excuse me ma’am, we’ve been waiting and are here to pick up our glasses.” She was about to respond rudely by saying, “I’m help…” but caught herself and then got up to assist us. We asked when we could expect to pick up the glasses, and she replied, “Any day.” We then politely asked if she had a more specific timeframe, and she responded again in an annoyed and rude tone, “Any day.” We were dressed in regular clothes, basketball shorts, T-shirts, and sweatpants, yet we felt we were treated differently because of our appearance. The entire interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and discriminatory. If it weren’t for my son needing his glasses, we would have walked out. I’m not completely sure if her name was Patricia, but she was an older woman wearing eyeglasses with bangs covering part of her forehead. If she cannot communicate with and assist customers respectfully without showing discrimination, then she should not be working in a profession that requires good customer service. The experience left such a sour taste in my mouth that I couldn’t even continue shopping at the other stores. We ended up just leaving the mall altogether. — The Rostro Family

Had a wonderful experience with Deepti. After my eye exam, she helped me choose frames that best suited me and thoroughly went through all the option before checking me out.

I will not give a good review to Dr. Marc Babin, OD because of his poor performance during my eye check-up. He prescribed a high prescription that was not appropriate for my vision. For one month, I did not notice anything unusual with my eyesight. However, after a month, during the first week of March, I started experiencing eye pain. At first, I thought it was just an allergy, so I ignored it. Eventually, it became worse, with tearing, severe pain, and redness. I decided to consult another doctor, and I found out that the prescription given to me by Dr. Marc Babin, OD was not suitable for my vision. Because of this experience, I cannot give him a positive review due to his negligence. You should really take action on these issues, especially since your branch is already well-known. It is important to maintain safe and secure service. Most importantly, the public continues to trust and support your services. There are no problems with Lenscraft itself. The issue lies with some employees who need to improve and pay closer attention to their work. The success of your business depends on the people around you, so this should be addressed properly.

Came in today to see if LensCrafters could potentially fix my glasses that felt crooked. I was not sure they would/could because I didn’t but my glasses from them. Trish greeted me right away and said she could absolutely help put. She saw what the issue was and took her time and make sure my glasses were perfect. I am so grateful that she took the time to help and I will definitely be back!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
