Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

The staff is so rude at this pharmacy. They meanly stare at you when it is your turn at the counter. I won't stay with them. I am going to another pharmacy. So very hateful!

Anytime I have visited this pharmacy, it's a mix of experiences. Most of the time the staff is friendly. I manage a business so I understand the difference between when the staff is overworked, vs. unnecessary rudeness. They are in need of more customer service training. This seems like it may stem from a combination of poor communication with management, or harsh/toxic work environment. You can be understaffed and still manage to take care of your workers, and communicate with your customers. Everyone waiting have eyes, they can see that you have a line forming. If a snag happens, (or you get one of those darn chatty people or argumentative types) shift the responsibility to the customer making a fuss or the situation. Even just looking over at the next person in line and saying, "I'll be with you in one moment, or, sorry it is taking a while I will be with you as soon as I can." This brings a much more positive environment to both the staff and the customers! (It also brings attention to the upset person that others are waiting) It doesn't take much. :)

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called to see if I could pick up my prescription as they closed in 10 minutes and I would arrive 5 before (hours changed) that had been ready was put on hold and never answered again when I arrived everything was locked even when there was time until they closed. I asked if anything could be done since I’m heading back to college and my prescription had been filled and the male Asian pharmacist continued to talk over me saying “we’re closed” “not my problem” “Nothing I can do” when I tried explain they technically were still open. Completely awful. Not to mention the wait time for annual shots.

I switched to this Kroger Pharmacy over a year ago. I've always been at a standalone pharmacy, so I was skeptical about switching to one in a grocery store. However, the staff has far exceeded my expectations! I am ALWAYS able to reach someone on the phone within a few rings, and all prescriptions have been filled accurately and quickly, even when I've had an unusual one that isn't easily obtained. In addition, I appreciate the precautions they are taking during the COVID pandemic. The only downside is that they don't have a drive-thru, although I've never had to wait in line more than 5 minutes. It is so refreshing to be able to reach a pleasant and knowledgeable person on the phone at a pharmacy. That was certainly never the case at Dougherty's or CVS! I've also been able to save HUNDREDS of DOLLARS by using their coupons through GoodRX.com. I would highly recommend this pharmacy to any friend or family member. Wish I could say the same about the grocery part of this store, but sadly I cannot.
