Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I have nothing but good things to say about this pharmacy and its staff. Jimmy, the pharmacist, is helpful, diligent, and always has actionable insight on medications prescribed and/or how to best address insurance hurdles. Every single person on staff who answers the phone and works the register is always so helpful getting to the bottom of things and offering solutions. Whenever there are prior authorizations, delays, or any other limitations, they are quick to help solve. More than once, my daughter's controlled medication has gone through changes, required signatures/authorizations, and has had insurance coverage issues with the presentation prescribed. Right before the ice storm hit, we had run out of her meds. With the mess described above along with a prescription that took a while to get to the pharmacy, we had a recipe for disaster. As soon as I got on the phone with this Kroger Pharmacy and they received it, they filled my little girl's prescription within 20 minutes as an exception. It was a godsend! I also appreciate their text message notifications along with the status banner on the app when our prescriptions are ready. For a mom of 3 with a lot to keep of track of, this is useful and helps me avoid having to actively call to check in. My only pain point was navigating the automated phone menu at first, but once you get through to an actual human, every single person at this location shines for how well they do their job. Highly recommend!

Not the best... Far from perfect. There scanners are pieces of crap. I let it screw up once. The second time I walk away and leave everything where it's at. Hold up that scanner and then let them pay someone to put everything up. That's what they get for not having any lanes open with cashiers. They never have everything I want Anyway so I will end up going back. Also they move things around to much and then cut store hours. Maybe if they were open longer they would have time to stock everything. I would be able to get everything in one trip.
