Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I have adult ADHD and ultimately can't function at work without generic Focalin XR, my doctor had a prescription for it as well as 3 other medications sent over on 12-28-20, last Monday. I recently switched jobs so I had to wait till Friday the 1st for my new insurance to kick in. On the 1st they were closed. It's been a week at that point without my meds and I've been having to self medicate with caffeine just to get my work done, so this was extremely upsetting. I come back Saturday 30 minutes before my shift, give them my new insurance information, and get my prescriptions. When I look in the bag, one is missing. The Focalin XR. When I ask them what's up, apparently when they first received the prescription and my old insurance bounced, they decided because it wasn't covered they just. Didn't fill it? Like they made the executive decision to not fill my prescription without my consent, based on cost. If I was diabetic and that prescription was for insulin this would be completely unacceptable. I ultimately have had to wait another day for it, going on 2 weeks unmedicated, because it was going to take an hour to fill it and I had to go to work. I will not be using this pharmacy again.

This pharmacy is woefully understaffed. Sometimes they don't answer the phone at all. Called back, they picked up and said "hold," then put me into an endless loop of hold, ring, back on hold, ring, back on hold, etc., for about 8 minutes before the lady finally picked up. She told me that my prescriptions, which my doctor sent them at end of day yesterday, would probably not be ready till 6 pm today. They do have low prices for my prescriptions using GoodRx coupons.

Absolutely no enforcement on the mandatory face mask ordinance. Multiple people walking around without face masks. Ive been going to this Kroger for yeara and has always been dirty and literally nothing has changed even with the coronavirus. Whoever runs this store is clearly incompetent or just doesn't care. I do get prescriptions filled here though and the pharmacy answers the phone quickly, low hold times and fill prescriptions pretty quickly. 5 stars for the pharmacy!
