When my dad came home after a long hospital stay, I was overwhelmed trying to manage his care on my own. A friend recommended Care Mountain, and from day one, I knew we were in the right hands. Their nurse came out the same week, created a clear plan, and explained everything in a way I could actually understand. The caregivers have been patient, professional, and genuinely kind. Every Nurse we've met takes pride in what they do and notice the little things that make a big difference in his comfort and recovery. I never have to wonder if someone will show up or if Dad is being properly cared for. The peace of mind they’ve given our family is priceless.

I had a very positive experience with Care Mountain. Gagan and Deepti are knowledgeable and can help navigate complex caregiving situations. They are attentive and responsive. The caregiver that we were paired with was diligent and punctual and made the best efforts to fulfill our needs.

Care Mountain sent Theresa Hunter to take care of our mother, who is just about to turn one hundred. Theresa has added years to our mother's life, good wonderful years. She is one of the kindest, wisest, and most capable people we have ever met, and it brings us great joy to know that such a person is caring for our mother. She has our mother's back at all times, she is thoughtful, she is experienced, and she is insightful. A year ago our mother took a bad fall, and things looked dark for her. Finding Theresa was such a blessing, she has completely turned the situation around. Thank you Care Mountain, for the wonderful gift of Theresa Hunter. Mike and Jim McGrath

Taquitta was a great blessing to our family for about 8 weeks in caring for my mother with Early Onset Alzheimer's while my dad returned to work. She was always patient and quickly understood moms unique needs and triggers- and was tremendously accommodating to those things- and would go above and beyond the things we had asked of her. We were sad that our time with Taquitta was so short lived, as my dads unexpected job changes meant he would be home during the day again. I told Taquitta that I selfishly hoped we would be able to have her come back to us when our need returned- BUT that my actual hope was that she wouldn't be- because that mean another lucky family would be able to use her! Care Mountain is a great care company and Rick (owner) and Deanna (Director of Ops) are equally as kind and understanding about the always changing needs of elder care. High Recommend all around!

Frequently Asked Questions About Care Mountain

Are you a home care and home healthcare agency locally based in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Yes. We are a full service provider. Our Services include: in-home hourly care, 24/7 care, live-in care, skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We specialize in serving patients with Heart Failure, Diabetes, COPD, Stroke, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Cancer. We have eight offices across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, conveniently located to serve you – we are usually within 5 miles of most families across DFW that need senior care. We work with only experienced and highly reputable caregivers that reside in YOUR local area – they are all nationally background checked, licensed, bonded, and insured. There are several hundred home care agencies across the DFW metroplex, but only a handful that have been in continuous operation for 21+ years in DFW, as Care Mountain has. We have NEVER had a single State complaint, and always held an A+ Rating with the Dallas Better Business Bureau. Selecting a home care agency can be challenging because there are so many in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and many of them have not been around for very long. The Texas Health & Human Services website is one of the most helpful in finding a good agency. It lists all Texas licensed home health care agencies, as well as their most recent inspection record and any substantiated complaints in the last three years. Home health care agencies fall into two main categories: those considered medical home health care, which mainly work with Medicare and Medicaid, and those that are non-medical home health care agencies that accept private pay, and long term care insurance. The Texas Health & Human Services Commission website will differentiate among these different classifications to make your search a lot easier. Another reason for our outstanding reputation is that we only work with experienced and highly reputable care givers, and to minimize turnover ensure that they live local to the client’s location. If caregivers have to drive a long distance to a client’s home they tend to not stay long, so we make sure this won’t be an issue for our clients. We have one of the lowest rates of caregiver turnover – most of our caregivers have had a working relationship with us for over six years!

Do you accept my long term care insurance policy?

Yes, we accept long term care insurance policies. Our services are mainly paid for privately or under a long term care policy from such insurance companies as: Genworth long term care insurance, John Hancock long term care insurance, Mutual of Omaha long term care insurance, Mass Mutual long term care insurance, New York Life long term care insurance, Northwestern Mutual long term care insurance and Metlife long term care insurance. We work with many other long-term care insurance companies. Because we have a good, long established reputation and meet all the credentials and business insurance requirements of long term care insurance companies, we have had no issue working with any of them. We are a private pay company – this means that we accept private payments and long term care insurance plans (such as the above named ones). While we are licensed for Medicare in the state of Texas, at this time we are not accepting Medicare, Medicare Advantage or Medicaid insurance plans. Medicare & related Medicare supplemental insurance polices will, through doctor’s orders, often cover a limited amount of home health care on an episodic or temporary basis. Many situations, though, demand home health care services that go beyond the scope or time period typically covered under Medicare,. Most long-term care insurance polices will require an assessment by an insurance company representative to determine eligibility to start paying out benefits. The most common determination of eligibility is that you will need assistance with at least three activities of daily living. Many holders of long-term care insurance polices are surprised to discover there is normally an “out of pocket” cost before benefit disbursements can begin. It is also important to understand what is considered an “out-of-pocket” cost that works toward meeting the requirement before benefit disbursement. People are often surprised to learn that time in a nursing rehab facility works toward this requirement. Care Mountain has 21+ years of experience working with long-term care insurance policies and the companies that offer them. We will make receiving your insurance benefits stress-free for you by walking you through the process of getting the policy started and by filing all necessary paperwork.
