Francisco and Phillip are very trustworthy and sympathetic to our crazy demands as far as scheduling and repairs. Pick up and drop off was easy and I appreciate this DME provider for supplying my babies equipment especially in Pretty Pink😌
- NNNataliaAug 20, 20241.0I was contacted by them late yesterday evening to schedule a visit for this morning at 11:00/11:30 . I told them to let me check my schedule and I would call them first thing in the morning to let them know if I would be available . This morning I called them at 8:10 to let them know I would be available this morning. I called them twice and had to leave a recording. I waited all morning and nothing, I received a text from them stating the guy would be coming at 1:30ish…. I am very upset. I had cleared my schedule to accommodate them . Lousy service and communication.

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
