I went in for a dental cleaning. First, they asked for my social security number, which is a red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then... 1. They took x-rays. 2. They made me wait for an hour. 3. They informed me I cannot get a dental cleaning, which was the whole reason I was here. It was now 3pm and they close at 4pm. Ooook. Appointment over I guess? 4. Nope. I need to wait for the doctor. Why? They don't know why. 5. A guy comes in and tells me I grind my teeth at night. This is the doctor. Okay, can I have a dental cleaning? No, I cannot; It's too late. How is it too late? It just is. Welp, this was a massive waste of time. 6. Creepy doctor tells me he used AI to examine my teeth. He does this unprompted. He BRAGS about it and goes on and on at length! I just gape. Alright folks, this is Texas, which is beholden not only to HIPAA, but also the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, which makes feeding my medical data into AI VERY VERY ILLEGAL, except in super specific circumstances. To wit, this dentist requires EXPLICIT permission from me, strict user opt-in/opt-out mechanisms, and disclosure of automated profiling to upload my data to an AI. Since I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE the AI wreaking havoc in our society (as does every other person who actually understands the implications of this dumb technology) I absolutely DO NOT consent to sending my private medical data to any AI entity. 7. Why did this guy get a medical degree if he's going to ask an AI if I have a cavity?? What is happening to this world? 8. I beat a hasty retreat, giving them my top notch dental insurance, which covers x-rays and exams. 9. Keep in mind, they have provided me with no service whatsoever, and while I don't know how much no service whatsoever costs, they can take it up with my insurance company. Adding insult to injury, these absolute loons sent me a bill for $530 today. I'm not joking.

I am very disappointed with this dental office, and here’s my experience: 1. I had an appointment on May 1st. After checking in, getting X-rays, and speaking with the dentist, I was suddenly told that the hygienist was busy with another patient and that I needed to reschedule my cleaning appointment. There was no apology at all for the inconvenience. I was confused but understanding, so I rescheduled for May 5th. 2. During my second visit, I specifically confirmed with the front desk that my insurance would cover everything, and they said yes — except for a $40 fluoride treatment. I paid the fee and scheduled another appointment for a complimentary whitening treatment that the dentist herself had offered during my first visit. 3. This morning, I called the office to cancel my filling treatment only keep the whitening treatment on May 21st due to a conflict with my son’s dental appointment. That’s when I was told my “free whitening” would be canceled because I was not doing the filling at the same time. This was never explained to me before. I never asked for free whitening in the first place — your dentist offered it. At no point did anyone mention that it was conditional on additional treatment. 4. To make matters worse, after I expressed that I was very disappointed with how everything was handled, the front office staff member, Debbie, hung up on me during the call. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Overall, the communication was very poor, and I feel misled by the office staff. Extremely disappointed experience. A fellow up review ( update) Thank you for your response Dr.K and for taking the time to address my concerns. However, my main concern is never the scheduling changes, but the lack of clear and consistent communication regarding treatment coverage and the conditions attached to the complimentary service. Additionally, I’d like to point out that when the complimentary whitening was originally offered to me, there was no discussion about cavities, fillings, or any requirement for additional treatment on our conversation. Otherwise, I would have clearly understood the condition from the beginning. Anyway, this is really not matter to me anymore. I wish you and your family the very best as well. I am sharing this feedback so future patients can have clearer communication around treatment plans, coverage, and any associated conditions before proceeding. 1. Make sure all your responsibility upfront, and double check with front office. 2. Understand meaning of free complimentary.
