They refused to fill a perfectly legal prescription (for blood pressure meds ffs) merely because my doctor is a family member. Of note, it is again perfectly legal for this family member to prescribe me the substance. (It is not a scheduled substance such as an opioid.) HEB appoints itself legislator, ignoring what actual laws say. Their actions wasted 15 minutes of my time. Walgreens was more than happy to fulfill my prescription, which is where I recommend people take their business.

Lifesavers. Have a sick 6 month old and right at closing time they overcame all the insurance problems and typos and got my infant the medication he needed. Big shout out to Lisa, Richard and Mark. 🙏🏻❤️

The person named Richard at this pharmacy, always provides curt/rude responses and provides false information resulting in me going there multiple times to get just get one medication. It’s really frustrating.

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. For many reasons, but my breaking point was when I went to fill my 6MO’s antibiotics for her ear infection. I got there after my dr appointment in the morning and they said the Dr hadn’t sent it in. Called the Dr, took an hour to sit on hold, but they told me they HAD sent it. Went back to the pharmacy, it still wasn’t ready. Third time I went back they told me they were out of most flavors. When I complained, they magically fixed the dispenser…kinda like the ice cream machine at McDonald’s. Then I’m told they need to mix it and to drive out of line. It’s now almost 3pm, the line is long, and I’ve been trying to fill this prescription since 9:30. Just mix it so I can be on my way, why is this hard? I finally get it, and since she’s been on this medication before, I knew the concentration was not correct for a small infant. I have a screaming baby, and at this point I’m irate. The pharmacist, Taylor, thinks it’s funny. I’m a mom on the complete brink at this point running on two hours of sleep and now three trips to the pharmacy and this woman snarkily laughs at me. She says she needs to call the doctor to get the correct dosage and I need to come back. I’m so angry at this point…and she says I should just pick it up in Lakeway. I leave to go pick up my other kid from school and come back about 45 minutes later, and no one called the doctor or bothered to get the correct concentration even though they said they would. Mark, the manager, said I could take that or go somewhere else. So I took the wrong medication concentration, got no consult or guidance, didn’t even get a syringe, had to call my nurse back to ask how much to give and when and how to store it, and to get the correct dosage sent to a new pharmacy to be picked up, which wouldn’t be ready until the next day. These people are rude, bitter, and complacent. Not all…there are some very nice competent people there. But all in all mismanaged and poorly trained, at the expense of my baby being in pain without getting her medication. I totally crashed out and yelled at them, they deserved it, and I’d do it again. Do your jobs or retire if you don’t like it. Your 17 years of experience at the HEB pharmacy doesn’t impress me and someone’s going to get sick since you are administering medication and don’t care enough to pay attention to details.
