  Horrible Customer Service Heb pharmacy at Handcock Center and I noticed this pictures i sent about my complaint is sure taking a long time to download it guess they don't want the public to know about them all over there to bad influence couldn't edit the audio you all would have been surprised.

  I had a 10 a.m. appointment for flu and covid vaccinations this morning and had to wait for an hour. If I'd known it would take that long, I could have shopped for groceries, taken them home, and come back with time to spare. Instead I had to awkwardly stand around trying to stay out of people's way. I finally asked how much longer I would have to wait, and the woman said "There are a lot of people in front of you." No explanation, no apology, and I had to ask multiple times for some idea of an actual ETA. Also, for someone who has never gotten a vaccination at this HEB, it's very confusing. I waited in line as if I were picking up a prescription, and that employee had to tell me to go to the drop-off counter instead; I witnessed multiple people (while I was waiting for an hour) do the same. Why not have signage letting people know where to go? There's a teeny tiny waiting area, not adequate for the number of people waiting, and it wasn't clear that the door to where the vaccinations take place is in that corner, so when my name was finally called another customer had to yell my name so I could hear it where I was standing in an aisle. Just a really poor process and communications. The only reason I'm giving two stars is that I also had a prescription to pick up for my dog, and the pharmacists were kind enough to get that ready for me a day early since I was already there. It's not clear whether having an appointment made any difference at all. This pharmacy's phone system says that you don't have to have an appointment, walk-ins are welcome. So I guess showing up as soon as they opened would have been better--but there wasn't a way to know that.

  Brittany, the pharmacist, is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and caring in explaining medications. I am grateful I was able to speak with her about my son’s medications she took as much time as I needed explaining everything to me even though it was late at night.
