Club Pilates Southpark Meadows is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
One challenge I experienced was the limited availability for booking classes, especially during peak hours, which often fill up very quickly. Because of this, I sometimes had to attend classes at times that were not very convenient for my schedule.
I also feel there could be some improvement in customer service and communication. While some instructors were great, there was one particular interaction that made me feel very uncomfortable. During class, I briefly checked my phone because I was waiting for an important health-related message. An instructor approached me in a way that felt unnecessarily harsh and condescending, and I felt I was being spoken to as though I were a child rather than an adult client. I completely understand that studios may have expectations regarding phone use, but I believe concerns can still be addressed respectfully and professionally.
In addition, I believe the studio could benefit from more consistent cleaning and maintenance. At times, I noticed pet hair, dust, and debris around the mats and equipment areas, which sometimes ended up on clothing after class. While wipes are provided for clients to clean equipment after use, it would be reassuring to see more thorough cleaning practices performed regularly by the studio as well.
I understand and respect the studio’s cancellation policy, and I am happy to pay for the required notice period. However, after the way this interaction made me feel, I do not feel comfortable returning to the studio.

I’ve been going to Club Pilates and it’s been a great experience. The classes are well-structured, the instructors are supportive, and the environment feels welcoming. They’re also very understanding that life happens, which makes it easy to stay consistent without feeling pressured. It’s been a really nice addition to my routine.

I think Club Pilates is misleading in saying that they have a wide variety of classes. Unless it is the stretching class, you don't even need to pay attention to what you're signing up for, including the level. It's the same intensity, the same type of things. And it is ALL very very very beginner level.
This type of studio does have a place.
-Good for seniors
-Good for those first workouts for a postpartum mom
-Good for those who are just starting their workout journey
But to market it as "something for everyone" is extremely misleading. I did not break a sweat once in any of their classes. I wouldn't consider myself extremely fit, but I do like to be at least lightly challenged.
Again though, for the "good for" list- it does have a place!
CONS (alongside misleading marketing)
Two times I went their instructors were visibly sick. Coughing and sneezing the entire class. I could tell others around me were uncomfortable too. I am a new mom with a baby at home, I kept thinking- am I going to get sick? I also saw all the amazing cool senior ladies around me and felt for them, I hoped they wouldn't get sick either.
Perhaps this Club Pilates is the type of place where instructors feel they must "power through" in order to not get in trouble for calling out of work. I would way rather get an email that says "This class is cancelled, the instructor is sick" Rather than show up and be subjected to that.
I also read on reddit and all over that Club Pilates gives you on heck of a hard time to cancel. That's so shady. The best memberships are the companies that are so confident in themselves and what they offer, that they allow you to cancel at anytime. The fact that you have to agree to a 3 month membership just to start should ring some alarm bells.
When I signed up, I regret feeling pushed by the front desk girl to do it quickly because a class was about to wrap up. I signed without really reading the fine print (dumb on my part I suppose) as I didn't know I had agreed to let them know 30 days in advance I had to cancel.
I tried to explain to the manager Tori that I was a new working mom, really unhappy with the Club Pilates workouts, and felt rushed by their front desk girl to sign up without reading what was in it for me. (She also made it seem like they were running a 3 month special... it's what they run all year long.) Tori basically said "too bad" and charged me another month.
Really trying to be logical here. Good workout for some. I don't think the ethics of this studio is good at all.
Overall wouldn't recommend.
