Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

It’s a pharmacy in a Kroger. The staff is nice and kind. Idk what all these one star reviews are about but it’s a pharmacy… what do you expect it to be? A five star hotel-like service experience? No they’re medical professionals and they are good at what they do. The service infinitely better than the DMV, not as good as the Ritz Carton, but my 2 minute engagements with them don’t require complementary champagne and valet parking.

I sent my prescription there, received a call from their automated line saying my prescription could be ready on Monday and asked if that worked. I said no and they gave me a new pick up date of Saturday at 3pm. I come by Sunday to pick up my medicine and was told they have no order for me. Then he said because I was new I needed to call and talk directly with their pharmacist to get my medicine approved and they probably won't approve it to begin with because said medication is hard to get, but I won't know until tomorrow when the pharmacist is in. Thea would be 2 days without my medication so I asked if he could just send it back to my old pharmacy and was instructed that would have to be done by my doctors office. I'm livid and confused as to why I was told the medication was ready to be picked up just to be met with this nonsense.

The pharmacy goes above and beyond I feel like and they always have everything I need. They are very quick to fill your prescription and they always try to get you the best price. I love this pharmacy! I have been using them for a few years now.

I had a very poor interaction with the head pharmacist today (July 13, 2019 @ 10:00am). I know she was short handed because I overheard her ask someone to call back while explaining she was short handed. I presented my prescription (a long-standing one) and she told me that I was one day early and would have to come back in tomorrow. As I am older (63) and walk painfully with a cane, I simply asked if she was sure about the date. She curtly (in my opinion), indicated I could go elsewhere if I chose. I stated "That's not my point, I just want to be sure about the date." This pharmacist did not have a very friendly or professional attitude (although, I admit, her approach is not typical of the friendly folks I usually encounter there). I hope Kroger in Tullahoma holds their "professional" help accountable for how they treat their long standing customers (in particular, the elderly ones). It is an especially bad look for Kroger when these employees are suggesting customers take their business elsewhere.
