Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I will never forget the Pharmacy experience with KD. Rude, treated me like I was a child, sarcastically answered my questions, and actually lectured me about the medication. Life is really short lately, it’s not necessary to expose yourself to this type of passive/aggressive behavior.
I’m transferring my prescriptions immediately. I found a new Pharmacy that treats me like the older adult that I am! And they very kind and concerned about my questions on the prescription, cheaper alternatives and side effects.

This Kroger’s has screwed up my prescriptions several times and this afternoon they refused to give me my antibiotic because THEY couldn’t understand the dosage directions.
So here I am getting sicker, running a fever, no antibiotic to help.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Dealing with this pharmacy is a nightmare!

Been in 3 times when I got a call saying my prescription was ready only to get to the store and they tell me something was wrong with my insurance or ask me what it was I was trying to fill (I only have one). Yesterday I got a call that they didn’t carry the prescription I needed and they would have to order it (that’s fine) today I got a call to call the store to fill it. (Fine)
Called and they guy on the phone 1) kept calling me by the wrong name 2) asked if was bringing “cash” then adjusted it to “paying out of pocket” no we’ve been through this. THEN I get a woman on the phone who explains they don’t carry it, will have to order it but it costs them a lot of money to order it and want to make sure I am going to pick it up, but then they ask if I can just go to the Madison Kroger instead so they don’t have to pay for it. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL PHARMACY HELL?!
I had to call my doctor to move my script.
I’m glad my inconvenience is helping your bottom line.
