Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

Maggie the pharmacist technician help me with my answers about my prescription. She is legit and very professional. Thanks to her I kept her advice and stay safe with my prescription that became an allergic reaction to me. I went back in a few days after to get an honest advice on what to take for it. She genuinely took her time to talk to me. Trusted pharmacy tech. Thank you Maggie.

Some of the worst people seem to find their jobs at Kroger pharmacies, but this one is the WORST. Go anywhere else and fill your prescription, because these people suck

Very nice staff. Helpful and personable. They also have a translation line for folks that speak different languages, which has been a huge help for the international people I work with.

As a long time customer of Krogers, I was totally offended there today. I went to the pharmacy to have three prescriptions filled and called earlier to make sure they had the medications. I handed the tech two of them and tried to explain that I may fill the third but wanted to verify everything. She told me they HAVE to fill ALL prescriptions from the doctor so I handed her the third. She took these to the pharmicist who came back and told me he did not have the meds. I mentioned I called first so what was the real reason? He then said he wasn't comfortable filling them (so he lied the first time), I asked why not? He said because they were from two different doctors. Why yes I said, the regular doc sent me to the specialist and you can see they are both in the same field of medicine except one is a specialist three blocks up the road if you need to call them. He refused to provide me service even after I explained and I also have a medical license. The tech jumped to conclusions and didn't even allow me time to explain that I also wanted another prescription transferred from Walgreens for them to fill when she took my papers. I went up front and asked for a store manager but could not wait any longer as I am in pain, so I went to Walgreens and they filled everything. Kroger needs to screen their Pharmacists before hiring them, evidently he thought if he wasn't filling them all, he wasn't filling any and never took the time to talk nicely to me, just flat out lied from the beginning!!
