The progression of my disease has led me to need the Power chair. Lester led me through the Fitting process With great knowledge of my condition and much professionalism. He really cares and that made all the difference in the world. He and Cleo delivered my wheelchair. It seemed like a lot quicker than I expected! Both guys were great!They took time to make necessary adjustments to be sure that I will be comfortable and show me how to operate everything. I felt very overwhelmed that day, but I picked it up pretty quick! I Highly recommend Lester And this company! I always used them but I made the mistake five years ago to go somewhere else. I was not happy and not comfortable at all! Now I am very, very happy and satisfied! I wont be going anywhere else for my wheelchair needs!

To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
