I went in to pick up a new prescription n wanted to talk to a pharmacist...a gentleman came to the windows n I asked about how often to take the shot (Repatha) every 14 days or less..he said direction was on the prescription..hoping g he would elaborate since I never had it before he didn't..he was little to no help...I guess I'll go to another kroger pharmacist to get more info....sad the people u hire.

Good luck using the pharmacy, you are an inconvenience to them. How dare you ask them to refill a prescription. They will make you feel horrible for needing to stay alive.

Amid the chaos that is this Kroger Correctional Facility, there’s one department that stands out: the pharmacy. And by “stands out,” I mean it’s the only part of the store that seems to have consistent staffing. Perhaps it’s because they’re legally required to be there? Maybe, who knows? But hey, when navigating a grocery store that feels more like the movie “Get Hard” where Will Ferrell goes to prepare for prison life, you take what you can get.
Unlike the rest of the “departments” (for photos, google: deserted wasteland), the pharmacy staff actually exists—and they’re working! You don’t have to hunt them down or listen for their voices echoing over the intercom like they’re calling in reinforcements because prison Mike is out again. They’re just… there. It’s kind of shocking, honestly. Given the Kroger Correctional context, you almost feel like you need to thank them for simply being.
And you know what’s nice? At least you don’t have to check yourself out at the pharmacy, unlike the rest of the store, where the checkout lanes are a sea of unmanned scanners and confused customers waving barcodes around like they’re conducting a séance while the machine yells at you. I know, yes I put the Coke in the bag, what else do you want from me?! The pharmacy actually has humans who will assist you. What a concept, mind-blowing!
That said, the bar here is so low it’s practically in China, so I’m not saying the pharmacy is flawless. The pace isn’t exactly brisk—but at least you don’t feel like you’ve been abandoned in an apocalyptic grocery prison. They’ll fill your prescription and even make eye contact sometimes. It’s almost… civilized.
So, while the rest of the store feels like a dystopian free-for-all—complete with yelling, confusion, and an obscene amount of swat offers in full tactile gear ready to take down Bin Laden again -- the pharmacy is quietly holding it together. Maybe it’s because life-saving medications require a slightly higher calling than stocking frozen pizzas, or maybe they know you can’t just pick out any prescription bottle and head to the self-checkout scanner and hope for the best.
Either way, they’re the MVPs of this chaotic institution, proving that even in Kroger Correctional, a glimmer of order and sanity can exist.
Props—for existing, staffing, and not making me swipe my own insurance card over a self-checkout scanner. Keep it up, pharmacy team. You’re the unsung heroes of Kroger Correctional facility on Highland!
