- NTNick ToombsApr 15, 20261.0Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and money. I scheduled a DOT physical at the Kroger Little Clinic earlier this week and was clearly told there would be a $20 fee if we missed the appointment. As a business owner, I pulled an employee off the job, paid them hourly to be there, and we showed up on time, ready to go. When we arrived, we discovered they had booked our DOT physical even though there was no qualified DOT provider on site. They knew this exam could not be completed but scheduled it anyway. If I had been the one to “no-show,” they would have gladly charged me the fee—yet when they wasted my employee’s time and my payroll dollars, there was zero accountability. Because of their incompetence, we now have to redo the entire process somewhere else, pay my employee for another trip, and deal with an unnecessary delay on a time-sensitive DOT card. There was no real apology, no effort to fix the situation on the spot, and no offer to make good on the money and time they cost my business. If you are an employer or commercial driver, do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere that actually respects your schedule and understands what a DOT exam means for people who work for a living. This clinic expects customers to pay for their mistakes but does absolutely nothing when the mistake is theirs. This has now happened to me at two different Little Clinic locations in the past twelve months. Acceptable compensation for wasting my staff’s labor is $40 per visit. Both times, I called and spoke with the central office. Corporate refused to call back but did send a personality-free automated email that failed to address the issue or take any accountability. Side note: The one DOT exam I did complete there was handled well—the on-site staff were great. Corporate, however, dropped the ball repeatedly. The corporate team needs serious improvement, as they are failing both the staff and the customers of the Little Clinic.
