  Very friendly office all the way around. Dr Elliot did a root canal for me and the visit was flawless. He was very professional but also friendly and approachable. The assistant that worked with me was a delight!! The root canal was basically painless, the little prick with the numbing agent was the worst part and it wasn’t too bad! I have had a little soreness on day 2 but it was fairly inconsequential!! I highly recommend Dr. Elliot and his team.

  I had an excellent experience with Dr\. Keith Elliott\! He performed a root canal for me, and everything went perfectly\. Dr\. Elliott was professional, gentle, and took the time to explain the procedure and make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process\. I was honestly impressed with how smooth and easy the experience was\. I’m very thankful for the excellent care I received and would highly recommend Dr\. Keith Elliott to anyone looking for a dentist who provides quality care and truly cares about his patients.

  I cannot say enough good things about my experience at New South Endodontics. Dr. Elliott is exceptional—knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely caring. The office staff and dental assistants are wonderful, friendly, and efficient. They made what could have been a stressful visit totally comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Elliott to anyone looking for expert endodontic care.

  The 2 stars I did leave are for the VERY sweet dental assistant, I wish I knew her name. She deserves 5.. but that unfortunately gives those stars to the endodontist. That sweet woman helped calm my multiple anxiety attacks and shaking.. she brought me a wet washcloth and put it on my neck.. rubbed my back and talked to me like I was her daughter. She was very, very caring and gentle. She was patient and waited for me to relax and be ready before we continued the root canal. She just had a very beautiful and sweet nature, and she belongs in the job she is in! I will say though, I was diagnosed with a tooth infection at an office in Elizabethton from an x-ray. They then reffered me here as I don't have any insurance. I was shown with my very own eyes where the infection was on the x-ray. I was experiencing the same facial pain I was prior to the root canal days after the root canal (not the usual healing pain, but infection pain, which I felt relief from immediately with a seperate root canal done elsewhere and I can decipher the 2 types of pain from each other as I've had many types of dental procedures and infections over the years) So I called in to South a few days later out of concern, only to be told that I "didn't have an infection, only Irreversible Pulpitis." I was very confused as I literally watched the surgeon drain the infection at South as well on the screen they had next to the chair.. in which I will mention later as I was fully concious and alert. I know that irreversible pulpitis can be caused by an infection, so I don't doubt that could've also been a factor on top of the infection. That led me to question the competence a bit. I know what I was told as well as what I saw in 2 seperate confirmations, so to be told otherwise was a bit concerning. The endodontist got noticeably frustrated with me numerous times during my procedure. Once I couldn't hold my anxiety in anymore and began shaking like a leaf from the vile root canal smell, the sounds, the numbing not working (so I was in pain) and the screen in my vision showing the entire process, as well as my overall dental and general anxiety.. I heard him in a very agitated voice say "whats wrong with her?" which caused immediate tears to roll down my face right before he literally stormed out of the room without another word. I had to sit up and the assistant brought me a trash can because I expressed I was going to throw up (I also have emetophobia and a terrible gag reflex so that just made the experience 100 times worse.) He kept audibly sighing each time I would need a break or would gag. He eventually asked "are you in pain, or what?" And I got the extra numbing I needed. I eventually convinced them to just let me take the tool holding my mouth out and let me hold it open manually so I could stop gagging. Although I made the process longer needing breaks, it felt a bit rushed as he was working on my tooth. I'll give him props for being somewhat nice at the end, but the time when we patients need kindness the most is when you're drilling into our skulls🤣 Aside from the fact I can not afford to get my crown put on or my other severe teeth issues fixed anyways, I am far too afraid to even go back here for my crown.
