- DKDoris Ann KingNov 28, 20255.0Recently, we have not been pleased with Home Instead. We have 3 regular care givers, but one just left because the pay wasn’t enough for her. I asked how much she makes and she told me. She did a great job, but now she is gone. And there is not automatic raises based on merit or time with the company. No wonder there is such a turnover of employees. We are very fortunate to have LTC insurance that we have paid a lot for, and the company is one of the best. And our care givers go above and beyond in talking care of us. I see from the reviews that we are not alone. Our excellent caregivers are Joyce Walker & DeAndra Hampton.

However, I am also cared for in the sense that many of the household chores I would otherwise be personally performing are taken care of by our care-provider from Home Instead. Additionally, and probably most importantly, the lady from Home Instead has developed a very close bond with my wife. My wife refers to her as her second sister. This is quite satisfying for me to know someone cares so much for my wife that she thinks of that person as another family member! What value can a person place on that?

It would have been extremely useful if they had a medical branch/department who could take charge when the customer was in need of medical assistance. I highly recommend Home Instead.

The caregivers were so kind, understanding and well trained. HI was very flexible and accommodating in scheduling the time the caregivers were at the house. If you need in home care because you don't want your love ones to go to assisted living or a nursing home, HI is the perfect option. We tried another well known in home care company before HI and there was no comparison in the care my parents received.
