- AKAnna KochMay 6, 20261.0My appointment notification stated I would see Dr. McCarty, only to show up and see another doctor that’s not listed as a provider for Pearle Vision. This Google survey was sent via email about my experience with “Dr. McCarty”. If you wish to see the actual provider who is listed at this Pearle Vision location, be aware you may get someone, who apparently isn’t listed online as being affiliated with Pearle Vision. What’s the point of eye insurance requiring members to see specific providers if those required providers aren’t who is performing the exam? Further, the survey and my appointment in the system reads as if I saw Dr. McCarty. It’s the practice of not informing patients ahead of time, and on paperwork referencing the visit was with Dr. McCarty, when it wasn’t.. that appears disingenuous. Don’t bother calling the Pearle Vision customer service number. They will only refer you back to the store and say that’s the best they can offer. My insurance provider has been informed of their practices. Beware!
