- LALuke AlbersAug 8, 20261.0I think it was 4 years ago when I went to the good feet store with plantar fasciitis and hip pain. It has helped those problems but for me the solution has been worse than the plantar fasciitis pain. In the initial few months I was very optimistic about the changes that I experienced, however as time has gone on my results have become worse and worse. Cons: 1.) Very Expensive: the initial cost was shocking and the continued cost of replacing pads when they wear out is kind of silly. 2.) While these have solved my plantar fasciitis pain, the pain caused by the inserts themselves is worse. 3.) Dependency - you have to have these at all times which means you spend your life moving inserts from one pair of shoes to another. 4.) They ruin my shoes and my shoes never feel like they fit right. 5.) They squeak loudly. They have "liners" you can put on the insert to mitigate the noise but these are no good because they cause my feet to slide around inside my shoe. Pros: 1.) they did help with the plantar pain - however since they replaced it with worse pain I won't give a star for this. 2.) The star in my rating is for the sales staff - several times I have gone into the store and reported how poorly things were going and the staff has always tried to help me and we have changed out my inserts a few times to make adjustments. Maybe these are a good solution for some people but based on my own experience I would have to recommend that you pursue all other options first - it has not turned out well for me. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the strength in my feet so that I can go without these and that is also not an easy thing to do after so long relying on these things.
