  After contacting several GI practices in the Myrtle Beach area, we were told my husband's appointment would be delayed by approximately three months. I then contacted Strand GI, explained our circumstances, and they were able to schedule him promptly. We greatly appreciate their professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our needs when timely care was important.

  Doctors and Nurse Practitioners are caring and active listeners. All of my questions were thoughtfully answered. My prescription was changed to one with less side effects. I highly recommend Strand GI!

  Great experience!! My nurse before was so funny he took my mind off being nervous. Also my nurse after was great ! They do things differently here , it’s not like it was year ago. Or they are just far more superior than I have ever experienced. Front desk are so kind, caring and informative . Doc was superb as well. I would send my parent here. Perfect experience when I expected it to be terrible.

  Another DOESN'T care health provider! Dont waste your time with these folks. They charge $2400 an hour, if they will see you. Forget about communicating with a doctor or PA. And their typical text from an admin assistant is "take laxatives". P.O.S. company!!!

  I cannot and will not personally recommend anyone I know to go to Strand GI Associates. I'm a bit sad to say this, as I had high hopes based off of personal recommendations. I have a difficult-to-explain issue and was seeking answers and/or diagnosis. Unfortunately, Dr. Pearson spent only about 4 minutes with me and instead of letting me list my concerns, what I'd found out on my own, and letting me explain what I was hoping to achieve, he immediately began implying that my symptoms were "in my head" and were anxiety based, not physical. He prescribed me medicines that I can't take because of IBS, but because he spent so little time with me, we never got to discuss the fact that I have IBS, so the entire appointment was null and void, minus the time I wasted and the money I spent to see him. I did not go to Strand GI Associates to see a medical doctor specialized in gastroenterology play the role of a psychiatrist trying to psychoanalyze me. I went there to seek a diagnosis for a condition that's been ruining my sleep, my daytime productivity, and my mental health for the last month, and maybe get some support or help or at least some direction as to how my gut health might be impacting my issue. Instead, I left there feeling rushed, judged, and not at all cared for. Once I complete my follow-up with a different staff member, I very seriously doubt I will ever return there. For what it's worth, the office staff and support/assistance staff were extra friendly, so I appreciate those guys. EDIT: Added a few contextual words for more clarity and made sure to mention the friendly staff.
