After my experiences with both Adore and Coastal Fertility, the difference couldn’t be more clear. Adore fell short in several critical ways, particularly around communication and administrative follow-through. Ultimately, I wasn’t even able to proceed with my egg freezing cycle due to multiple administrative and communication errors on their end.
Despite this, Adore had previously told me that my insurance would cover none of the procedure—and they still declined to refund my $1,000 deposit, even though the retrieval never took place because of their mistakes.
In contrast, Coastal Fertility provided a far more seamless and transparent experience. Not only was their team significantly more organized and communicative, but they were also able to work with my insurance to reduce the cost of my retrieval from $7,000 to just $1,200, something Adore had told me wasn’t possible.
I came to Adore via a recommendation, and had a very open heart and open mind and tried to be very accommodating of their mishaps, but for them to ultimately still refuse to even refund my deposit to me was the last straw and made me feel compelled to tell people to venture into this very personal and very emotional experience elsewhere.

**Never returned my $75 deposit. Disappointed that I didn't get the opportunity to work with Dr. Cox as she is a veteran. But office staff member Angel, was "difficult" to work with. She continually was creating barriers to care. From their payment system is complex and she told me I needed to "take accountability" for not understanding. Very inappropriate front office staff. I am both a veteran and health care worker myself, would never treat anyone that way.....again very disappointed.
Update After Owner Respone: No one was verbally abusive to staff. The day before the appointment, I paid the $75.00 Pre-appointment fee and I used my HSA to pay. I keep that card at home, as it is not a card I keep in my everyday wallet.I was under the impression, that my next visit was the $200 and somthing fee and that is when insurance would kick in. I did not have anything in writing. As stated, their fee schedule is confusing. I was told by Angel that I would receive an email with the exact amount paid I paid the same day. The emai for the portall did not arrive until 7:42 AM the next day. Angel called at 10:30 AM to discuss that I skipped over a section and they would be canceling my appointment. I then pulled over on the side of the road, completed the section. I arrived at my location, I logged in for my appointment at 1:58 PM. At 2:02 PM, another member of Dr. Cox's staff called to dicuss payment. I told them that I did not have an issue paying, but my HSA card was not at my current location or be able to use the same card. I asked to reschedule. The staff member then, handed the phone to Angel. She stated that I needed to take "accountability" for my actions for not undertanding their confusing system. I then called her "evil" for what she said to me. Because complied with every demand, rushed to make the appointment, then I am going to be told "I need to take responsibility". Her comment was evil. I stand by what I say. Its not abusive. You need to train your staff to do treat patients with dignity and respect and ensure you have the entire story from your staff before you respond. I stand by what I say. We can let the readers pass judgement. I will not be bullied by you or anyone else.
I went through 5 failed IUIs with Adore fertility and decided to walk away for a different fertility specialist. I was not going to post about my experience, because I like the idea of an all female group supporting each other, and was hoping since they were new they would get better for their sakes. However, I just got a “bill” in the mail for $125 for back in June 2022. I always paid in full on my credit card every time. There is no way I owe a bill. If they charged me wrong that’s on them, I paid everything that was asked upfront. So, if they are coming after me for fake bills, I will be honest about my experience now.
June 2022, was my first failed IUI, Dr Cox told me not to trigger, she said to save my $200 injection for the future just in case, and did the IUI 3 days before I ovulated, now I know frozen sperm, what I was using, does not live that long and it was done way to early. It never had a chance.
July 2022, She had me trigger and everything went okay from what I can tell, just failed. IUI do not have the best success rate anyway.
August 2022, got a bad batch of sperm, but they said it had a small chance of working and did not cancel. The bad sperm was not their fault.
September 2022, another failed IUI, I begged to try different meds, clomid, something else. She refused clomid for some reason, which my new doctor says was a mistake, but at least agreed to increase my letrozole dose.
October 2022, my follicle was 32mm, was too big to be viable, which I know now, but they did not tell me and went through with the IUI instead of cancelling it. It never had a chance.
I started doing my own research about fertility, follicle sizes…etc and knew they were not being honest with me for some reason and that something was wrong. I paid $200 to meet with Dr Cox in November, she does not meet with existing patients for free. She wanted to do more IUIs, which I of course said no too, that’s a waste of money, I wanted to try IVF. She said it would be easy based on my pre-labs and they would put me on a stand protocol and talked more about trying to “save me money” instead of addressing my concerns. I insisted something was wrong and wanted my labs rechecked and she refused.
I got a second opinion, who was floored that I had been though 5 IUIs, they never do more than 3 before recommending IVF and it yet it was never brought up by Dr Cox. She just cared about the money. The new doctor insisted on rechecking my labs and sure enough, my AMH had plummeted from 1.47 to 0.4 in 6 months time. That changed everything. He said had an honest conversation that my chances were very low, but since I was healthy he was willing to try, he even suggested egg donors as an option, since my numbers were so low. Yet, Dr Cox refused to recheck my labs and never had honest conversations, she will tell you what she thinks you want to hear to get money out of you.
I wish I had followed by gut sooner, as I write this I am 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant thanks to leaving Adore fertility and finding a doctor who was willing to listen to me and cared more about me than just getting my money. If you go here, do your own research, because they will not be honest and trust your gut!
I am only posting this now, because they are now coming after me for a fake $125 bill from June 2022 that I already paid.
UPDATE 1/29/2024: Over a year later, I just got another bill!! Their billing department is a disaster. DO NOT GO HERE.
UPDATE: I did not use an egg donor, it was my own egg. Their reply is full of lies, I could go on and on. Meanwhile, no word from the billing department regarding why I am getting sent a random bill for $125 two years later for no reason, and when I paid in full every visit.
