  Addus is a great company to work with /for they answered all my question I had speaking with the manager she had the most experience n spoke volumes about the company

  I used Addus Home Care services for 2 years to provide Respite and personal care services for my special needs son. I found my own aide because they didn't have one. Whenever she was off (vacation,sick etc) they NEVER had coverage for me so I had to miss work or change my plans. My aide complained about her checks being messed up numerous times and about "persons" in the office being very rude or disrespectful. I found another aide ( a friend of mine) that was willing to be my first aides "fill in" so I finally had coverage (3 months) until my first aide fell and hurt her leg and couldn't come help us. Guess what, I was back in the same boat of having no coverage whenever my aide needed off.. I always called and asked for coverage (for 2 years) and was told that they didn't have any one at the time but they hired some caregivers so they would send someone to help.. They NEVER did... I left several messages on Addus voicemail, I never got return calls. I went up there one time and spoke to the receptionist and asked if she would have Ms Wanda to call me. I was told that she would but I never got a call.. I only stayed with Addus b/c the caregivers that I had were good with my son. I finally transferred our service and caregiver to another provider and I'm so glad I did, I wish I had done this atleast a year and a half ago!!!!
