Tyler was so kind and helpful with helping my son pick out his style of frames. And I really appreciate that he gave us all the information needed when deciding on the frame and lenses material. Came away from the visit informed and having a very fun time. Which is most definitely saying something for picking out glasses.

Great experience with Tyler and Trish and Dr. Bernhardt! Tyler asked good questions and listened to what style of glasses I needed for work and home (bonus my wife loved the choice). Trish helped me understand the process with kindness and patience. Dr. Bernhardt showed confidence and clarity about my vision and needs. I bought fully upgraded lenses because my current glasses have been exceptional. Definitely recommend this Sandhills location and this staff for anyone wanting quality, value, and a great customer experience.

Excellent experience with Brittany today. I’ve purchased glasses from LensCrafters in the past, and this experience was top notch. LensCrafters is running an awesome plan which allowed me to purchase two new pairs of prescription glasses and order new contact lenses for a very reasonable price. I knew exactly which frames I wanted (Tiffany frames in egg blue), and Brittany suggested another pair of Coach frames which were perfect for me. Thank you for the knowledgeable, friendly customer service!

LensCrafters provided a really smooth experience from start to finish 👓
I was able to get a same-day appointment, which was incredibly convenient, and the whole process felt efficient and well organized. Even better, the glasses were ready for pickup earlier than the estimated date, which was a nice surprise.
Fast service and good communication made the experience easy and stress-free 👍

During my visit I inquired with the pre screening employee, Trish, about whether the retinal imaging was optional. She said no then asked me to sign the form. Thinking $39 isn’t too bad I signed it. I completed the appointment then got to the counter and was told that my total for today would be $120. I was flabbergasted trying to figure out how when everything but the retinal imaging would be covered by my insurance. Come to find out the contact fitting they did was for premium contact lenses. I was very confused as no one mentioned anything about a premium version being used. As far as I was aware the fitting would be included in my exam. I asked Trish about this and she immediately sighed in frustration. I’m trying to figure it out between what my insurance is saying and her lack of response. She just kept reading from what was on the screen saying you got a premium lens. No one asked me prior to the fitting if I wanted to go with standard or premium. I asked her why they did premium for her response to be they only do premium fittings. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the booking or prior to the appointment. As I’m trying to understand why her tone for the entire conversation is very pissy and obviously frustrated with me. At no point during the encounter did I raise my voice with her or act belligerent towards anyone in the store. But the attitude I received from her was terrible. During my confusion as to why the fitting cost so much no one interjected or tried to assist with the issue even though Noesha, who they said is a manager was on the floor. She was assisting another customer but when Tyler seemed confused about another customers total she immediately went to assist him. In the process of me asking questions she stepped away back to the prescreening room, but before doing that she went up to Tyler and whispered about me with pointed body language. Then she went to the back. It was 20 minutes before she came out to continue assisting me. After me asking again and trying to see why premium lenses were used and speaking to my insurance she left again. At that point Tyler came to check someone out and Allen he was available I asked if him if a manager was available and he said Noesha is the manager on duty and that she could be with me in a moment. I waited another 30 for her to be available. I asked Tyler when he came up again if I could get a copy of my doctors notes from today as well as my medical records for the visit. Noesha was upset at him for speaking to me then interrupted him, she at first said they could not provide it as it was something to do on the eye associates side of the store and that it would be something I would have to request through the other office. Then I specifically asked for notes from my visit with him that were done today with him. Trish said she was printing them out then left for another 30 minutes. I asked again when Trish had been gone for so long if I could get a print out. Noesha said Trish was in the back getting them and that she was making sure they gave me what they could. The doctor walks back up and prints it from the computer in front of me. This entire time they had me waiting for something that could just be printed out at the front. During this entire encounter they would go in the back doctors office or prescreening room to talk about me out of ear shot. This entire office is completely unprofessional. Noesha was practically refusing to let me talk to the doctor because “He would not be able to help me”. I was finally able to talk to him by just asking instead of speaking through staff and he was able to explain to me clearly why I had to do a premium fitting. That was all I needed to know. Not Trish saying that they only do premium. Flat out lying to me to get me to accept an answer without any backing. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a eye doctors. This group working felt scammy with the lack of explanation given and the horrible customer service. Talking about customers is plain unacceptable.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
