I’m someone who only writes reviews when the service is really good or really bad. My experience at this location in Cross Hill today was extremely bad. I’m sitting in the parking lot as I type.
For context, I have a very high prescription due to a medical condition and came in looking for frames that would fit my needs. I explained this once I walked in. I was not looking to get glasses today, just simply looking for frames. The light skinned guy with the nose piercing was EXTREMELY rude and distasteful with his comments regarding my prescription. I know my prescription is high…I’ve been wearing glasses since the age of 3. I know what I can and cannot wear. I did not need his help as I was browsing on my own, but he wanted to look at my profile in the system to see the prescription. Once he saw it, he again made very disrespectful commentary. I kindly stated to him that it is a blessing that I can even see at all! No one and I do mean no one has the right to make me feel bad for something out of my control, especially someone who works in an eyeglass store that is supposed to be helping. I never got his name but this guy was downright rude and should not be working in a customer service position that is front facing if he can’t stop his intrusive thoughts from coming out of his mouth. This was my first time visiting this location and I will never be back. I hope management sees this and gives him some type of training on customer service etiquette. And if he is the manager, God help.

Great customer experience. The selection of frames is by far the best and they have qualified personnel to fit your frames to ensure a great experience. They carefully explain various options available for your lenses and allow you to make the choice with no pressure.

I went to have my lens in my AI Oakleys prescribed. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Offer all options without me having to ask to allow me to make an informed decision that was best for me based on what I told I wanted and based on my budget. They are a bit pricier than some of the other businesses in their field and although I busted my budget, I still went with them because I wanted the brand of lens that actually went with my glasses.

Here's a more polished version that keeps your experience authentic while reading more naturally:
I went in with old, broken frames and was dreading having to buy both new frames and new lenses. Bernadette, the manager, went above and beyond to help repair my glasses and made sure the optometrist understood that, even though I'm young, I wear progressive lenses.
I always receive outstanding customer service at this location. The team is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cares about finding the best solution rather than the most expensive one. I highly recommend this location.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
