  To: Palmetto Podiatry Group of Anderson Re: October 20 Appointment with Dr. Bastian I had a scheduled appointment with Dr. Bastian at 9:15 a.m. on October 20. Following your office instructions, I arrived at 9:00 a.m., 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. Despite arriving as requested, I remained in the waiting room until approximately 9:50 a.m., when I was finally called into an examination room. I then waited there, with my feet exposed and becoming increasingly cold, until 10:25 a.m. At that point—85 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and without having been seen by the doctor—I left. I understand that medical offices can occasionally run behind schedule. However, making a patient wait nearly an hour and a half for an early-morning appointment, without being seen and without adequate communication regarding the delay, is unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of respect for the patient's time. My time has value just as the doctor's and staff's time does. Therefore, I am submitting an invoice for the time I unnecessarily spent waiting in your office.   Did not like this doctors office, staff wasn’t friendly and kinda rude and they were in a hurry, didn’t really listen to my concerns and kept trying to offer services not covered by my insurance but pay out of pocket. Definitely would not recommend.

  He was referred by Urgent Care on September 24 and was instructed that he needed to be seen within three days. I spoke with Susan that same day, and she scheduled him for September 28 at 9:45 a.m. She instructed him to arrive 15 minutes early. Since he already had an appointment scheduled for October 21, Susan cancelled that appointment and moved him to today’s appointment. My son arrived at the office today as instructed, only to be told that no appointment had been scheduled and that there was no referral on file. I called the office and spoke with Susan again, and she stated that she did not have the referral. I explained that the referral had been provided on Thursday and that Susan had personally scheduled the appointment with me. I specifically wrote down her name and the appointment details at the time. I’m very concerned that my son was referred for an urgent appointment, followed the instructions provided by your office, and arrived today only to find that the appointment was not entered into the system.
