  I had a scheduled appointment about a month in advance. They called to confirm my appointment. When I arrived, the girl at the window looked at my name and looked at her computer. She instantly copped an attitude and told me that I didn't have an appointment. She also continued to tell me (in her rude tone) I was a new patient so if I wanted to be seen I would need to wait as a walk-in appointment. I told her they called to even confirm but she acted like she didnt hear me or care, but I agreed and filled out the paperwork. I waited about 45 minutes. I made an appointment because I didnt have all day to wait around. I went back to the window to tell her that I was going to leave and see if I could reschedule. She barked at me, " What do you need". I explained that I couldn't continue to wait and asked if I couldn't make another appointment. Again with attitude and without even looking at a schedule, she said they didnt have anything for 3-4 months out so there wasn't a point to trying to schedule. I said ok and that I was leaving. I left. I got to the car and she came out saying I was the next walk-in if I wanted to come back in. I went back in. After a few minutes she had a slightly less agressive tone and say that she found the problem and that my appointment was the day before. I told her that my appointment was made and confirmed via phone for today so that was weird. I ended up waiting about another 30 min. During that time another lady came in and was told she didnt have an appointment only to later be told that her appointment was yesterday was too. It was ridiculous and her instant rudeness was uncalled for. Anyway, when I make it to the back the woman who took my vitals didnt know how to take them. I am a nurse so I know how they are to be done. She put the blood pressure cuff on my upper arm near my armpit and the artery marker was nowhere near my inner elbow. She inflated the cuff almost as much as it would go, then with a loud hiss, quickly released the air...so fast there was no way that she could hear the first or last beat. My baseline blood pressure is never over 118. I have never been anywhere close to hypertension, but she wrote down 136/78. I have diagnosed bradycardia and my normal baseline heart rate is about 56. She felt my radial pulse for not even 10 seconds then wrote down 72. The Nurse Practitioner was really nice and I liked her. She ordered an EKG for me due to my complaint of intermittent palpitations. That lady who made up my vitals came in to do my EKG. She did not know where the leads go. She put the right and left limb leads near my elbows (they should go on the shoulder area either arm or chest) and she put V1 and V2 up near my collar bone which is way too high. My result was of course sinus bradycardia with a rate of 57....57, but this woman just guessed 72 and wrote it down. This is dangerous. She wrote down a blood pressure that was hypertensive. If I didnt know any better and/or know my usual vitals (or say something about my blood pressure is never that high to the provider like I did) I could have been diagnosed with hypertension and they could have tried to give me medications for that...which with my baseline vitals could cause serious harm or kill me. I would not send anyone to this place. Making up vitals like that is dangerous. People who do not know how to perform tasks and/or not want to do their job should not be doing them. Also incorrect placement of EKG leads can lead to an incorrect reading that can miss serious issues. I also had to get blood taken for labs. The woman who took my blood did one light swipe with an alcohol pad, then immediate wiped off the alcohol with an already opened gauze that was sitting in her little carry basket then stuck me. That is unsanitary and gross. She was a good stick though, but a serious infection control risk. I will not be going back.

  I have been going to Family Med Center around 10 years and I have always been treated well. Dr Tam and his nurse are so nice and caring. 💝. It’s the only Drs office I’ve ever been to that I know they care. And also the receptionist is always friendly and courteous. As far as I’m conserned it’s the best Drs office in Aiken and the surrounding area.

  Dr. Tam will literally drop you the day before your appointment as a patient for being in the hospital and unable to make a visit. Knowing you need diabetes meds. Don't go here, the staff is rude and incompetent. The ER is a better option. This place is evil. Then they won't even offer a 30 day supply of the meds Tam knows you need to live. Don't just avoid this place RUN far far away

  Don’t waste your time. You will be waiting for at least 2 hours to be seen. I told them I thought I had an ear infection, which should be an easy in and out. But I ended up being in the back for over 2 hours, I genuinely thought they forgot about me. I asked how much longer the wait would be after I hit the 2 hour mark and they said “any minute” then I waited another hour.
