I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this LensCrafters location, entirely thanks to the staff here.
I brought in my own prescription from my regular optometrist. This saved me a ton of time since I didn’t have to wait for an in-store exam, and it let me ensure the medical side was fully covered by a doctor I already know accepts my primary insurance. When entering the prescription information, they have a second person check the work for accuracy, and I truly appreciate that thoroughness.
When it came to the retail side, I walked in with a specific payment strategy: utilizing my OTC card's vision allowance (as my OTC benefit provider partners with LensCrafters) alongside my health insurance. Jessica was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and more than happy to help me maximize my benefits. While my health insurance wasn't fully participating for the entire balance, she expertly applied the insurance discount to my prescription lenses, then successfully ran my OTC benefit card to cover the remainder. Everything was billed perfectly, leaving me with a $0 out-of-pocket balance. I was given an expected 10 to 14-day timeframe for pickup (from July 9th, so at max around the 23rd), but my order was ready in just 6 days.
She also took the time to help me find the perfect fit for my face, guiding me to one of the recently improved iterations of the Meta smart glasses currently available: the Gen 2 Blazer Optics frame in Matte Black. These feature new flexible hinges that bend outward a bit for a better fit, swappable bridges for a better resting position on the nose, and upgraded tech internals. I asked her to trick out the lenses as much as possible to use up my remaining balance, and she fully delivered by setting me up with Single Vision Aspheric lenses featuring Blue IQ Clear, Premium Anti-Reflective coating, Scratch Resistance, and UV Protection.
The pickup process was quick and efficient overall. I received a text alert, went in, and a staff member brought out the box to explain the features. While she was friendly, she wasn't quite as familiar with the smart hardware as the staff member that originally helped me pick out the smart glasses. We actually couldn't figure out how to power them on in the store, but as a quick heads-up for future buyers: the power mechanism is a sliding switch hidden on the inside of the right arm of the glasses towards the lens/hinge area, not one of the push buttons on the top of the right arm... Definitely recommend reading the instructions. Once I got them home and charged up, everything worked flawlessly and the speakers sound absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this location.

This was by far the best appointment I have ever had. The doctor was thorough and caring. The entire staff...and I mean entire, was wonderful. I don't know if all locations are this great, but I can honestly recommend this one (Marketplace). And it was not crazy expensive. The experience thus far was definitely worth every penny. They have a great team.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
