  This Pittston facility is quite a nice place. I've donated well over 20 times here without any mishaps regarding the actual donation. My suggestions of areas of improvement are such ; 1). Update the facilities hours of operation consistently wherever publish for the public. examples: Google maps, Facebook, Ked plasma's android app, the telephones automation information system. Neglecting this can-has- and will continue to become an unnecessary inconvenience for those scheduling themselves to donate during closed hours. 2). During times when busy and there 6 or more people waiting on deck to be processed, there is a fast line separate for new donors where they are processed instantly regardless of whoever may be sitting already waiting. Altough they have revamped staff and procedures at the end of 2025 and I haven't experienced any backup of donors waiting since. James Phillips

  You have to give your SSN in order to donate. As I was watching the mandatory video I was told that my SSN didn't match my name. I asked what I could do. I was told that I couldn't donate (despite drive almost an hour to get there: it was the closest center) unless I went home to get my SSN card. Obviously, with how long the start-up paperwork/orientation takes and with it being 2 to 2 1/2 hrs long, I woudn't have the time. I called SSA to find out why it wouldn't match and they told me that my number matched with all the information. I even double checked the number by telling them it and they said it matched. Not sure what they are doing up there, but it seems shady.
