  Great gym in the heart of the city. The workouts are everything you need, led by outstanding trainers/coaches who know how to push and when. Love training here every chance I get.

  As a frequent traveler, I tend to drop in to well-reviewed gyms located near my hotels. I had the pleasure of joining Altus for two consecutive mornings. Altus stands out as a superbly equipped facility with excellent coaches. Just as importantly, the community was extremely welcoming - something not frequently encountered as a traveler. Altus is easily accessible from downtown hotels and well worth a drop in. For local residents, Altus is worth joining.

  Website is sketchy - asks you to sign up with an email to even SEE pricing information, schedule links to something Indonesian that's incomprehensible when translated and no information on the actual equipment, classes or resources available. Won't be nothing to find out more.

  Joined up in the dead of Winter when it was too cold to run outside and I couldn't stand to lose the cardiovascular fitness I'd spent years building up by going idle due to the cold weather. And now that we're moving into a rainy Spring, same thing. No excuses. The treadmills at Altus are amazing for running, maintaining my routine, and pushing myself to train a little harder with all the metrics and feedback the machines can provide. Great facility, spacious, clean, and well equipped. Very helpful staff. Super convenient for anyone downtown Pittsburgh looking to get a low key workout in away from the crowds at the big box gyms. Especially if you drop in middle of the day. Altus has everything you need to succeed. Great place to apply your motivation to improve your fitness and maintain good health. The body you can build here you'll take with you everywhere you go. Well worth it on every level, in every way.

  When I am visiting Pittsburgh, this is the gym I will go to. They have everything I need to train for Hyrox (except a ski erg?!?!), a great space with lots of well functioning equipment. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The $20 drop in is very reasonable and the location is near most major hotels in the downtown core. One more reason to love Steel City.
