Bad experience with an instructor:( don’t feel comfortable returning. There are plenty of other studios in the city where the staff is much friendlier and I will be going there.

Generally great classes and instructors but with LOTS of issues. The vibe is just off at this location. I've personally overheard the front desk staff (who are often teachers) complain about how annoying it is to try to remember students names, openly laugh at and talk about students, complain about how often they teach, ignore me when trying to check in to class, etc on multiple occasions. That's the type of energy that's created when you walk in, and permeates into the students as well, creating a yoga studio with zero community, high judgment, and low standards for student and staff conduct. On top of that, the studio is fairly dirty & not very well cared for. Hair and dust EVERYWHERE, no rules about shoes which is unsanitary, showers that smell like mold with dirty drains, lockers that are 50% broken, studio mirrors that stay dirty for weeks at a time.... For $189 a month or whatever I was paying you'd think they'd do a better job at actually trying to keep things up or at least trying to build a general positive vibe but it's clear that that is not the case at the Walnut Street location. Do not recommend.

Major difference between here and the northern liberties location. The team at the front desk is not friendly at all. It is way too overcrowded and the inside looks like they hardly renovated from the previous tenant that occupied the space. The place has little to no directional signage. Between the excessive humidity and loud music it’s difficult to hear the cues and work out to the best of your ability. Highly recommend the other locations in PA. Great instructors here though. This place should have a discount compared to other locations.

I tried the free week at CorePower with a friend. I was particularly interested in the CSX (Core Strength X) classes, which were advertised on the website as “low heat,” though it wasn’t clear what temperature that actually meant. The first class I took was 80°, the second was 92°, and the third was even hotter- you could clearly feel the heat actively running particularly in the third class. I’m genuinely unsure why the rooms were heated, since that’s not what I thought I was signing up for. I also found it extremely difficult to book classes. I was lucky to get into three sessions, but most other classes I wanted either didn’t fit my schedule or were already full. Many classes are scheduled during the day, which isn’t practical for those who work in person 9–5. When I did find classes that worked for me, I was often waitlisted at #8 or higher, making it very unlikely I’d get in. I should also mention that most classes Corepower offers are heated, which I personally don’t prefer. That’s partly my mistake for not researching more thoroughly before starting the free trial, but based on these experiences, I don’t anticipate returning to CorePower.

Instructor Kerry is the best! I love her positivity, energy, and encouragement that she brings into the studio. I’m new to the workout style and she helped me through in the best way. Thank you Kerry!
