  Frank Sapanaro is the best Physical Therapist. Very attentive to how you are feeling and corrects the problem. The staff is very friendly too..

  I am having a remarkable experience at Air Physical Therapy and Fitness in New Castle. After losing my balance and experiencing several nasty falls in my home, my doctor suggested physical therapy. As a senior citizen who is out of shape and overweight I was concerned about the approach the therapists would take with me based on their judgement of me and my situation. I was not looking forward to the experience and was hesitant to make the first call. Air Physical therapy has a wonderful receptionist, Laura. She is a delight. Kind, positive, informative and helped me get my appointment. During the first appointment, Frank, a master therapist, evaluated me and explained the program and resources the center had to offer. On my second visit, I met my therapist, Amber, who established a relationship that put my fears to rest. Amber is compassionate, and recognized that I was anxious about my treatment. She let me know that she cared about my well-being and was determined to take on the particular challenges of my case. Her focus on the therapy and re-education process, clear explanations of realistic goals, and commitment to my progress constantly inspires me to persevere. She has a wonderful sense of humor and a resilient quality that helps me understand that my progress will not always be a straight path but that she will be right there with me through ups and downs. During my appointments, I observe her interactions with other patients of all ages and physical types from all walks of life. She shows everyone equal respect. Amber is an expert communicator. She spends time educating me on my care plan. She has conversations with me about my goals, needs, and expectations. She observes my movements and provides me with invaluable insights that have helped me regain my confidence and mobility. She is so very astute and catches changes in my ability. She makes suggestions that are detailed and geared to my personal challenges and progress. She demonstrates and explains movements to me in such a way that I feel confident to try them. When I tell her that I am not able to do the movements correctly she tells me, NOT YET. She fosters a growth mindset in me that is invaluable to my healing journey. She is conscious of my every evolving needs. She remains positive, upbeat, and open-minded, I feel like a kid who’s teacher just gave them an A+ when at the end of our session she tells me “Thank you for working so hard today!” Amber is knowledgeable, personable, kind, and patient. The experience that I dreaded a few months ago has turned into one of the most beneficial experiences in my life. I am making steady, incremental progress. I enjoy my collaborative relationship with Amber and feel so grateful for her honesty, integrity, and respectful approach. The bottom line is I trust her. In the two months I have been working with her my balance has increased, my pain has decreased, and my confidence has strengthened. I have a long way to go but I am excited because I know I have a great physical therapist. I can’t praise Air Physical therapy enough. They have an exceptional team.

  My husband just completed the four-week LSVT BIG program. He went from walking with a walker to walking with a cane and can now walk independently for a short distance. He made remarkable progress in his balance as well as his ability to take “BIG” steps. During the program he was able to gain independence in dressing and assisting with small task around the house. The program increased his confidence and his independence. A BIG thank you to AMBER!
