    The Perfect Workout is, for me, The Perfect Therapy. A 20 minute workout, one on one with a trainer, in a private studio with Nautilus equipment for slow-and-heavy weightlifting to the point of failure. I chose the once a week plan, though you can do more. My trainer keeps track of my lift time, my lift capacities, and increases the challenge at a pace tailored for me. 4 months in – 40 pound bags of kitty litter became easy to lift in and out the car. It used to be a struggle for me. 5 months in – DEXA scan shows I am 1 stddev ahead of my peers, meaning my bones are stronger than typical of my peers. My PCP remarked “You’re strong” during one of the physical fitness annual tests. 17 months in – I am 25 pounds lighter than the day I started, without any major diet changes. I do eat protein after workouts and as my first meal most days. TPW has a phone app that makes it easy to arrange workout schedules, change plans. They also have body weight monitoring apps, but I haven’t used those. I am very happy with my personal trainer, Fran. I am an enthusiastic participant in TPW. One on one private workouts are very healing.

    It’s hard. So hard. And so so worth it! I have muscles and bragging rights. If you had told me 6 months ago how much weight I’d be lifting/pressing/pulling, I would not have believed it. And the trainers are awesome - I’ve worked with a few, and they’re all knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging.

    Joining the Perfect Workout is one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself in the past two months. It’s definetly worth the investment because I’m investing in my own health and well being. I love working with the trainers in Jenkintown. They are all awesome! Each one of the trainers bring their own special energy and encouragement to keep me on the right track! This workout is no joke! 😄
