- TMToni McCall5 days ago1.0This company is horrible. I have been bounced around for weeks. No one can seem to locate the provider's script. The continual transfer to different contact numbers is unbelievable. Every interaction with someone results in different information. This process is broken. I would never recommend anyone to use this company.
- ARaudra romanoApr 27, 20265.0Rich came out to my mother’s assisted living facility. He was courteous, patient and willing to figure out the problem and make the needed repairs and adjustments. No other technician could figure it out the proper was to attach the lateral supports so that they didn’t interfere with the backrest locking mechanism. I hope to get Rich if we need service again on my mother’s wheelchair. Only 4 stars because the company didn’t call or text the day prior to confirm the appointment and I had to call they myself to make sure they were coming and approximately when they’d arrive. The window of time 8-4pm is too wide of a time to give your customers.

But they always cancel his appointment because they claim they only come down to this area once a month and they cancel his appointment without telling him. The customer service people are rude and claim they thought he was coming there to have chair repaired. We live over an hour and a half from there. He is considering a new vendor. You should be ashamed of your businees ethics.

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
