As the heart of the health system, the hospital is home to more than 2,000 health professionals, award-winning specialty areas and modern facilities providing nearly every type of care. Geisinger Medical Center is the only hospital in the region designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and is central Pennsylvania's only Level I trauma center. Central Campus also includes Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital, providing the highest level of pediatric care across more than 30 specialties and subspecialties.
