- MSMatt Salt1 day ago3.0My first experience in a US opticians fell a bit flat. I have always been to opticians in the UK where eye tests are more thorough and are either free or cost a small amount which can be applied to the purchase of glasses. The eye doctor was fine - he gave good explanations but I did get the feeling that I was inconveniencing him by having an eye exam. However the real reasons for docking 2 stars was the shop floor experience. While I was browsing glasses (and I was the only customer in store), the shop assistants were talking loudly across the shop floor about how sweaty they were. The condition and selection of glasses was also very poor; they all seemed to be a combination of either very smudged or wonky, and the build quality of the glasses very cheap. I can’t see myself returning any time soon!

The on-site optometrist was also very professional and patient. Moreover, all of the staff members were helpful and polite. Overall, it was a good shopping experience and I am looking forward to getting my new glasses!

That was followed by Chris, optometrist extraordinaire! He was very patient and provided excellent advice regarding the right frame for a progressive Rx. Very happy with the choice. WP is a first class operation.
