- JLJake LeClair4 days ago1.0I have gone with my elderly mother on a limited income once as a guest of her membership. It smelled like cat urine in the studio the day I was there. It feels corporate as soon as you walk in and the front desk staff lacks people skills. At joining, a staff member tried to rush her to join by describing a non existent fee if she didn’t join now. She navigated past that tactic, advocated for herself and joined. As a senior, the restorative classes are what works for her. Discussed during joining. Midway through the first month, restorative classes are re-arranged to a routine that’s not practical to add more power yoga. She initiates cancellation and they hold her to 30 days notice despite the impact of their schedule change being the reason for cancellation. Since she is done dealing with this business, the post is intended to help others understand the negative experiences with this studio. Too many great choices for yoga in Portland to put up with this.
