My sleep study was completed Jan. 20, 2026, and my diagnosis of sleep apnea was issued two weeks later.
I waited two or three weeks but never received my cPAP machine.
In the following months, after many phone calls to Axis Bartlesville and many messages left for Elizabeth Allen's nurse (all unreturned), I found out the order had been sent to All Saints medical supply in Bartlesville.
On March 30, a receptionist for Axis Bartlesville told me that I had not received my machine because All Saints was pulling out of Bartlesville so they were sending my order to Lincare.
I spoke with All Saints on March 31 and was told they had voided the order for my CPAP machine because the documentation was not filled out correctly (the type of machine was checked, but there were no pressure settings, etc.). They said they had attempted several times to contact Axis about this, but after receiving no response, they voided the order.
After a couple more weeks of hearing nothing, I got a call from Lincare on April 2, who also said the order was filled out incorrectly (I assume Axis Bartlesville sent to Lincare Bartlesville the same incorrect order they sent to All Saints). They said they had been trying to get Axis Bartlesville to return their calls about this for some time.
I contacted Axis Bartlesville and told them what Lincare told me. I was told the nurse would call me in 24 to 48 hours. I had heard that before, and like all the other times, I never got a response.
When I called again on April 29, I was told the corrected order had been sent to Lincare on April 27. I was told to wait to hear from Lincare.
On May 5, I still did not have my CPAP machine. I called Axis Bartlesville again and was told the nurse would contact me. I also left a message with Lincare.
Lincare called me back the next day and told me they needed the chart notes that ordered the sleep study to proceed. They said they had tried multiple times to contact the appropriate Axis personnel, but no one returned their calls either.
I called Axis back May 11 and was told the information Lincare needed was sent to them (by the Axis Bartlesville office manager) on May 6. I confirmed with the receptionist that Axis Bartlesville has had my correct phone number (they did).
I called Lincare and was told the information Axis sent was the original (incomplete) order form and no chart notes. The agent from Lincare Bartlesville (who sounded as exasperated as I am) said she would reach out to them again. I made sure Lincare had my correct address since I had recently moved (they did).
I went to the Axis Bartlesville office on May 18 and was told by the receptionist the last record they have is the (incorrect) order being sent to Lincare on May 6. The receptionist said she would send a message to the nurse.
I called Lincare right then and attempted to put them on speaker so they could talk to the Axis receptionist. Both receptionists waived me off, saying their IT pros were working on their computers so they could not access anything. I sat there in the waiting room, waiting on my daughter to come out from her appointment and was never told the computers were up and running again before it was time to leave.
It's been over three months, and at this point, I've given up on Axis. I have an appointment in August with another doctor, and I'm hoping I can pick things up with him instead.
