  If I could give less than one star, I would. I regret choosing Dr. Mehta as my OB/GYN and wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Throughout pregnancy, I felt dismissed. Appointments took two hours for 10–15 minutes with him. His office knew about my eating disorder but didn't accommodate blind weigh-ins, triggering food restriction during pregnancy. He repeatedly delayed discussing induction despite knowing my due date was traumatic and that I'd preferred Ahuja for its proximity to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. I labored for 37 hours without him present for my induction. My birth plan was dismissed because "the doctor doesn't like it." My husband couldn't attend my epidural, which was terrifying. My daughter was already crowning when Dr. Mehta arrived. The nurse was actively preparing to deliver her herself while trying to wait for him because she wasn't sure he'd make it. After about 20 minutes of pushing, he performed an episiotomy despite my birth plan allowing one only if my baby was at risk. He simply said, "I'm gonna cut you on the next one," without giving me a meaningful opportunity to consent or explaining why. Other staff later questioned its necessity. He also nearly cut my daughter's cord without asking my husband, who had to stop him with the scissors already positioned. Thankfully, my husband still got to cut it. St. Joseph Warren Hospital's reported 2025 episiotomy rate was 19%, compared with Leapfrog's recommended maximum of 5% and the 2022 national average of 4.6%. That's over four times the national average. This is the hospital's rate, NOT his individual rate. I received little episiotomy aftercare guidance and don't recall him examining me again before telling me to return in six weeks. I was so traumatized that I couldn't hold my daughter for nearly two hours and cried every night in the hospital. At my six-week visit, he repeatedly insisted my husband needed a son, even telling my daughter, "Tell mama you need a brother." He called my husband's planned vasectomy "unfair" while pushing hormonal birth control I'd refused and dodging my question about whether I'd healed enough to resume sex. Two other former patients shared concerns. One had firsthand and secondhand knowledge of his frequent episiotomies and heard they made his job easier, though I can't verify that motive. Another said both she and her new doctor requested her records, yet she struggled for months to obtain them. HIPAA, 45 CFR § 164.524, generally requires a response within 30 days, subject to a limited extension; improper withholding beyond that would violate federal law. His public replies to negative reviews are also concerning. He even suggested one patient was trying to "sabotage" him. I'm glad he's reportedly stopped delivering babies because I wouldn't wish my experience on anyone. I'm filing a formal complaint with the State Medical Board of Ohio over my care, episiotomy, and informed consent. Please read his negative reviews AND his responses. I wish I had.

  Had my first gynecologist appointment there, I appreciate the team.asking me if I was ok and supporting me making sure I was comfortable. I feel like it's a traumatic experience for most, so I'm glad it didn't go that way for me. I go fast service too, and got the prescription I needed right away. The only thing is the timing of the office hours, but that's not their fault that mine 😭I swear I work around the clock

  Dr Mehta did a fantastic job with my abdominal hysterectomy, it felt like I was all healed up within just 2 weeks!!! I definitely suggest him if you ever need to have a hysterectomy done!!

  I love Dr metha I wish he was still delivering I wouldn't be going threw this pain or complications with this baby

  Waste of time. By the way, if you're a new patient, he's not delivering babys anymore after June, but they'll tell you that at your appointment, not over the phone the day before when you make your appointment. Gf called and told them she needed a ultrasound and was supposed to get blood work done, but he wanted to a another pap smear and she said no after she already had 2 done the last 2 appointments we had with a different Dr. He said that's fine, he wants the patient comfortable. So he leaves and comes back and pretty much said there is no reason to see her and she should see a different doctor all bc she didn't want a pap smear done
