Vaccinations
Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.
This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.
This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.
There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.
These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.
This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.
These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.
Physical & Wellness Screenings
Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.
When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.
Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.
Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I went to Kroger Pharmacy as I have for many years and never experienced the impatience, rudeness, and belligerence as I experienced by Alexander at the Vandalia location. I have been out of my Heart medication for almost a week and need this medication to survive. Alexander became short with me and said that they didn't receive it while my physician told me it was sent. Alexander is very non caring and should not be working with the public with his anti social communication skills. I think I'll be switching pharmacies to one with a more caring and helpful staff.
Upon notifying my Cardiologist office, I was told that my prescription for Metoprolol had been sent and received on February 9, 2026 for 1 years worth of medicine. I contacted Kroger Pharmacy and spoke with Sandy who was So helpful and found my prescription for my Heart medication and stated that it will be ready tomorrow morning. Thanks so much Sandy for all of your help!! I'm very appreciative of your kindness and effort.

Always the customer or doctors fault. Never Kroger. I’ve finally had enough. I quit going to them and their nasty attitudes

A few of the employees at this pharmacy are wonderful. They have excellent customer service skills. Then there are some, such as Nathan, who have no professionalism or customer service skills AT ALL! I called and went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription for my daughter and I was told by the male worker that it would be ready after lunch around 2:15. What a bad experience it was. I was polite and questioned their customer service. Nathan did not like that at all. Instead of apologizing for the problem that I encountered, he blamed the problem on the customer???!! I would have apologized and asked what I could do to resolve the problem. What ever happened to "the customer is always right"!!?? He was so angry , the young, untrained boy told me to leave and not come back. I asked him "why would I ever want to come back"?? I only deal with those who treat customers with respect. I indicated to him that I am one of the lucky people who do not have to do business with Kroger Pharmacy. I can go anywhere I want to go! I don't give my business to company's who are rude and inconsiderate. Another day I was at Krogers and I told the cashier in the express lane that a sale item was not ringing up on sale. She actually told me I would have to go back to the department and take a picture with my phone and bring proof to her the item was on sale. Since when do businesses treat their customers that way? Kroger stores need to change the way they do business. Kudos to the experienced ladies in the pharmacy who are truly an asset to the company. Unfortunate that Nathan did not pick up on how you treat people by his parents when he was growing up! He surely was not trained on the job. He is a liability to Krogers. What a shame. He was well groomed and I thought he probably had potential.

I switched to them and it was the worst decision I ever made. They say 30 mins and it is never ready. They say 45 mins to an hour and it is more like 3 to 4 hours. The staff is friendly but they are slow and it is very inconvenient for the customer. Then on top of that they have to order the most common of items in cause they do not have it in stock.
