- DGD GoldmanAug 20, 20261.0DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS OFFICE! This is Echo Hearing on Fishinger Road in Upper Arlington. My 92 year old mother bought her hearing aid (she only wears one) here a couple years ago and has been going to this office for years. She recently had an issue with her hearing so she went in. Turns out her hearing aid is fine but she has a lot of earwax that is probably the issue. They recommended going to an ENT or Primary Care to have this done since they are medical doctors and the audiologist is not and it would be covered by her Medicare that way. That’s all good. So they didn’t really do anything and still charged this 92 year old pensioner $55. I get that it was an office visit and it is a standard charge. But you would think that as a long time customer/patient, they could have told her we can’t help you as a courtesy. WE DO NOT FEEL VALUED AS A CUSTOMER!! I contrast this with AMERICAN EAR AT POLARIS. A couple years ago we went to this office because we couldn’t get an appointment at Echo in less than 3 weeks. American cleaned my mother’s ears NO CHARGE and she has never even purchased anything there! They even cleaned my ears too since I was sitting there! NO CHARGE! I don’t really expect this all the time but it’s nice to know somebody wants you as a customer. You can watch on the monitor as they clean. They couldn’t be friendlier up there. Falling all over themselves! They continue to contact my mom about coming in for free cleanings anytime. I wish we would have bought her last hearing aid there. The only reason we didn’t is because it is further away than Echo. Guess sometimes the drive is worth it.
