Vaccinations

Routine vaccinations are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself healthy. Our pharmacies provide annual flu vaccines, COVID-19 vaccinations, routine child and adult immunizations, catch-up vaccines and travel vaccines.

This vaccine protects against chickenpox, a disease caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults born in 1980 or later need two doses.

This vaccine protects against coronavirus. Depending on the manufacturer, up to two doses and a booster are currently recommended.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis A, an infection in the liver often spread by contaminated food and caused by hepatitis A virus. Adults traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease, and men who have sex with men need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against Hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus. Adults with chronic health conditions and healthcare workers should get three doses of this vaccine.

This vaccine protects against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer, and genital warts in both women and men. Adults age 9-26 need at least two doses.

This vaccine protects against influenza, a contagious viral infection of the nose, throat, and lungs. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.

This vaccine protects against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps, and the viral disease rubella. Adults born in 1957 or later need at least one dose.

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a leading cause of bacterial meningitis infections around the brain and spinal cord. All 11-12 year olds should get a meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a booster dose at 16 years old. People age 16-23 years also may get a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

These vaccines protect against pneumococcal disease, caused by bacteria leading to ear and sinus infections as well as more serious lung and blood infections. If you smoke, have heart disease, asthma, chronic lung disease, or are over 65 years old, you need at least one dose.

This vaccine protects against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. Children are recommended to get one vaccine dose at 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 through 18 months old, and 4 through 6 years old.

This vaccine protects against shingles, a painful skin rash caused by the varicella zoster virus. Adults age 50 and older need two doses.

These vaccines protect against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis which are contagious bacterial diseases. Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Physical & Wellness Screenings

Our pharmacies offer a number of wellness screenings to help detect and prevent certain diseases.

When you come in for a biometric screening, your provider will measure your height, weight and blood pressure. They will also test your blood glucose, and lipids (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL) using a finger prick to obtain a blood sample. Before leaving you will have your results along with risk reduction counseling to help you achieve your optimum health. **Biometric Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Blood glucose measurement detects the amount of glucose (sugar) in the bloodstream. High or low blood sugars could indicate a metabolic condition, such as diabetes.

Hemoglobin A1C measures your average blood glucose (sugar) over the past 90 days. An elevated hemoglobin A1C could indicate the presence of diabetes. **Hemoglobin A1C Screenings are available at select pharmacies only.

Cholesterol screening measures the amount of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in the blood. Cholesterol screenings can detect conditions such as high cholesterol or high triglycerides.

I asked if they had my meds in stock, told them I need the name brand. My insurance covers the name brand and I've always gotten the same brand. The rude pharmacy tech, resting B face the whole time checks and tells me they have name brand in stock. Then the double check to make sure they have enough of my meds to fill the script. So, twice she checked. Hour later I'm in line to pick up my meds when I get a call telling me that they don't have any of the name brand in stock..... You checked, twice!!!.... Then I asked for my script back to go to another pharmacy ( like Kroger's in Bowling Green, best pharmacy, best staff by far ) and when I'm given my script back they told me next time tell the Dr to write it in the script. It was written on the script, also said PAWs. Rude staff, bad experience. No wonder there are so many one star reviews.

This is very busy location. However, they always do their best. I wanted to take time to recognize Sue. She was very helpful despite being busy. She wanted to put me on hold but she first wanted to see if she could help me quickly, and she did. She promptly refilled my script and signed me up for auto refill. Thanks Sue for being awesome and doing great at your job! You are sincerely appreciated.

I recieved a coupon in the mail for a Kroger gift card with a transfer of a prescription. I dropped off the prescription in the store on a Monday. The pharmacy technician told me they couldn't fill the script for a few days for my insurance to pay. I told him that this wasn't an issue as I wasn't out of the medicine. I called back 4 days later and asked if it was filled and was told no. I asked if they could fill it and was told they could. I waited another day called back to see if it was filled and it wasn't filled . I asked if they would fill it that day as I was out. I told the person on the phone I would stop by at 6pm on my way to work to pick it up. I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes to find out my script still wasn't filled!!! I am going to transfer it back to my regular pharmacy and consider it a lesson learned. Never again.

Do not go out of their way for customers. I asked pharm tech if she would be willing to grab children's tylenol for me as I was picking up my babie's medication (I had 3 small children in the car and wasn't able to go into store) and she told me she couldn't as it wasn't behind the pharm counter and would have to go into aisle to retrieve (umm so what??). There was nobody behind me and I could see they were not busy through the glass. What poor customer service!!!!!
