When I moved to NW Ohio for school a few years ago, this was the first and only Club Pilates location around that I visited. It instantly became a safe space for me. Christina Bish, who runs the studio, is hilarious and incredibly welcoming. She brings an energy that makes people feel comfortable from the start. More than that, she is deeply encouraging; she believes in others more than many people believe in themselves. Christina also has an impressive understanding of the body and the connection between Pilates and neuroscience, which adds a highly-informed / thoughtful layer to her approach to movement and teaching. She understands not just movement itself, but how movement can rewire neural pathways, deepen body awareness, and build strength on multiple levels. Christina’s depth shows! I also have tremendous appreciation for Kim Moses and Patty McMullen. They are clearly disciples of Classical Pilates. They are precise, disciplined, and deeply committed to the integrity of Pilates’ original method. At the same time, they are adaptable and skilled at meeting newer, modern Pilates recruits exactly where they are. Their cueing, sequencing, and respect for form create an environment where you feel both challenged and supported. Whether someone is brand new to Pilates or refining advanced work, they teach with clarity, intention, and care. I am grateful for this space, and it warms my heart to practice at this location. Club Pilates Perrysburg is not just a place for a wide range of sessions / workouts; it’s a place to grow stronger mentally, emotionally, and physically.
