I found OHWC via Facebook Ads. I went in for the consult for right arm numbness and my tailbone hurting all the time.
The good? Everyone is very friendly, kind, professional. I liked how Dr. Chidester went over everything, explained, informed, and educated me about the spine and joints. Everyone was pleasant.
The 1 star review?
They seemed to think they could help me. They did not. In fact i’m in more pain now than before I started all of the treatments.
The treatment plan is essentially an assembly line handled by their assistants with about 3 minutes of adjustments with Dr. Cradduck. Nearly the same thing every visit for about 30 visits. At each assessment, I reported no improvement and they gave me additional visits (great) but still no improvement with the additional 6 visits.
During the treatments, many times, I was “pulled down” the decompression table so I’m not sure it ever really gave me the benefit. I did report it. Eventually, they put me in the cervical/head decompression to try to alleviate the numbness. No dice here either, and at least 2 times, the tech set the machine and it never worked.
The vibe machines were all set at 30 I believe, and each of them had different levels of intensity WHILE set at the same levels.
As I mentioned, everyone was nice and friendly, however the turnover in the office was pretty extreme too. Lots of new people who started after I began treatment became the ones handling treatment.
To add insult to injury, my wife also tried back decompression and knee decompression. She has never complained more about her knees and it hurts her more to do things she was doing before.
Combined, we spent over $11,000.00 here with really no improvement on either of us.
Finally, I asked MULTIPLE times to get a “letter of medical necessity” so I could at least attempt to get that reimbursed through insurance, or get some of our 11K back. EVERY SINGLE VISIT i asked, and every single visit I was told “Oh yeah, we will get that for you, I have a note right here”. No letter. Feel free to get that to me still.
So, we are still in pain, out 11K so that we could lay on heat rollers, stand on a vibe plate, lay on a table that either didn’t work, or wasn’t adjusted right, and see a Dr. for 3 minutes at the end of each visit, who did the same adjustments each time with minimal relief. I considered many times cancelling, and getting a refund for what was left, but kept thinking I should trust the process. Don’t trust the process. If it’s not working early on, it’s probably not going to.
Live and learn, and will NEVER pay for an assembly line deal again.
