The lady at the front desk was very rude, uncaring, and seemed to be unhelpful. She was very dishonest with us about our insurance but led us to believe we were in network and sneakily added us as self pay. So be very careful when you come here. The doctor herself was very friendly and helpful, but the lady at the front desk was definitely a problem

I do not recommend this place of business. We were mislead about insurance coverage. At first the girl working the desk couldn't find my insurance. She then said we were set to be seen, it would cost less than $50 out of pocket. I spoke up and said this is more than what I remember being charged for an eye exam. She said maybe something is different. This visit was different, we were seen for contacts and glasses. I thought this was the difference. Then when we checked out the total came to even more, little over double. I paid it because lenses were given as a trial period, thought this was the reason. The entire time we checked out she was in a conversation with another worker complaining about a patient she had been on the phone with. She gave me a receipt that showed I paid. I asked for an itemized receipt because its needed for records. We left the store swiftly to make another appt. I reviewed the reciept later that day and the receipt has me labeled as self pay and the insurance listed on the receipt is not my insurance. I reviewed my coverage and was not charged appropriately. I returned to the store to discuss this with the front desk girl. She said there was nothing she could do since it was already done. Turns out the store was no longer in network with my insurance. I just felt like this was very dishonest of her. Looking back at her behavior/things she said, its plainly apparent to me that she knew what she was doing. It was not a ton of money, but its the principle. I had repeatedly told her I had insurance and she had not problem checking me out self pay! I was advised by the eyeglass lady that I just need to file the receipt with my insurance myself and I would receive out of network coverage. This all should not have happened like this.

Dr Maggie was very helpful, patient, polite, friendly, and kind. The secretaries who sit behind desk were very rude, impatient, unfriendly, and unkind.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
