Oakview is located on a nine-acre wooded lot on the grounds of Southwest General, offering patients and their families a peaceful and calm setting away from the activity of the Health Center. The building, which opened in 1991, is specially designed for the patient's comfort, with large windows overlooking the wooded acreage. Patient rooms and family meeting areas present a home-like decor. Oakview's goal is to provide the highest quality of care in the least restrictive and most cost-effective environment. A dedicated staff of physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, social workers and therapists comprise the teams to offer the best possible care.
