Cosmetic Dentistry

Providing the quickest way to a stunning smile, Veneers are custom-designed semi-translucent covers for your teeth. These ultra-thin covers are bonded to the front of the teeth to dramatically improve teeth color, size, and shape. In as few as two short visits, patients experience a remarkable transformation from their former smile to a brand new smile. Beyond the cosmetic benefits of veneers, they are typically used to effectively treat discolored, worn, chipped, broken, misaligned teeth or teeth with gaps. For a fresh, natural looking smile, ask us if veneers are a solution for you.

If you have a decayed, damaged, cracked, or missing tooth, a dental crown or bridge may be the solution. Dental crowns are designed to be a permanent covering, fitting over a damaged tooth. This covering restores the tooth to its natural shape and size while improving the strength and overall appearance of the affected tooth. A dental bridge is a custom device designed to fill a space previously occupied by a tooth. Dental bridges consist of two or more crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap with a replacement tooth in the middle. Crowns and dental bridges are made with natural-looking porcelain, improving the overall appearance of your smile.

Dental Implants are the best long-term tooth replacement option using a titanium post and a custom made crown to give it the appearance of your natural tooth. They can be used to replace a single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. With the highest success rate of all tooth replacement options, implants can last a lifetime with daily brushing and flossing.

A whiter and brighter smile can have a very noticeable effect on your overall appearance, presentation and personal confidence. Using modern techniques, the path to a whiter smile is simpler and quicker than ever with virtually no sensitivity.

Orthodontics

Conventional orthodontic treatment (clear or metal braces) for both children and adults offers the most comprehensive approach to treating more complex issues ranging from crooked teeth to jaw and bite concerns. Dr. Beech’s meticulous approach throughout the orthodontic journey produces a beautiful, lasting smile.

Invisalign® creates beautifully straight teeth without braces by using a series of removable, and comfortable aligners – invisible to your friends, family and coworkers! Because the aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are much easier. Invisalign® provides a more convenient, less obtrusive straight-teeth solution.

Sleep Apnea

If you snore or have trouble sleeping, you may have Sleep Apnea – a sleep disorder that occurs when your air passage becomes temporarily blocked causing breathing to stop several times throughout the night. Sleep apnea not only increases a patient’s risk for heart attack and stroke, but also causes you to spend less time in the deep restorative sleep required for energy and mental sharpness.

Periodontics

Dr. Matia uses the most advanced laser technology available to help minimize patient discomfort and maximize effectiveness. The LANAP® laser system delivers a gentler and more precise treatment for periodontal disease using gentle pulses of light to effectively remove the damaging bacteria hidden between the teeth and gums. While traditional scalpel (blade) surgery can harm healthy gum tissue, LANAP® focuses precisely on the diseased tissue leaving healthy tissue unharmed.

Dr. Matia specializes in connective tissue grafts. Receding gums leave the root surfaces of the teeth unprotected; exposing teeth to risk for damage as well as making them appear misshaped or excessively long. By taking soft tissue from other areas in the mouth and attaching it to the receding gums, Dr. Matia helps patients support existing teeth for a more healthy beautiful smile.

I had my first visit yesterday with Julie and she was wonderful! I was so nervous because my husband and I recently moved to Ohio from Long Island, NY and I was hesitant on which dental office to choose. I am beyond thrilled I chose Great Lakes Dental. First the ladies at the front desk were wonderful and welcoming. I then met Julie the hygienist. I am deathly afraid of the dentist and Julie was so amazing. I felt my anxiety drop the minute I was in her care. I have never had such a comfortable experience with a dental cleaning before. She was amazing! I will need some crown work and I know I will be in great hands with Dr. Freund. He was so kind and took the time to explain everything. I feel blessed to have found this practice.

These guys are so ahead of their time in dentistry. My 6 year old son is seeing fantastic results in their program. They want to mold their pallet while they’re young and it’s working. So caring and gentle. Can’t say enough about everyone in this practice. Owners are so wonderful ❤️ Get your little ones in early!

My hygienist at Mentor Smiles did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. Very understanding and helpful. I don’t remember her name but she is the first room on the left when u go past the front desk. I can’t comment on the dentist because I didn’t see one. Usually they come in after the cleaning but not this time so not sure what that is about. Maybe they stopped doing it. Should have asked but didn’t think about it til after I left.
